This week I'm sharing about what has helped me in my anxiety journey and hopefully they can help you to!
The 5 tips that I talk about it are:
#1: Have open and honest communication about your anxiety! This has been KEY for me! It was important to let my family, friends, husband know how I was feeling so that they would understand why I was acting the way that I was, and they were able to offer support and encouragement!
#2: Do NOT be afraid to talk to your doctor about medication!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is nothing to be ashamed of or embarrassed about! I wish that I had started taking it sooner because it has helped me so much!
#3: Do NOT be afraid to talk to or see a therapist, or just to talk to anyone! You are NOT meant to go through this alone!
#4: Move your body! Now I'm not saying to go run a marathon or go work out for hours.. I Just mean to do something... ANYTHING! Have a little dance party to your favorite song, so for a walk, do some stretching! It doesn't have to be anything crazy!
#5: Do at least ONE thing in the day that brings you joy!!!!! Again, this does not have to anything crazy! Maybe watch one episode of your favorite show, take a second to step away from what you are doing to clear your head, go for a walk, read your favorite book, take a nap, sleep in a little later, talk to your friends or family.. anything! It's all about having the tools in your toolbox, as in the list of things that you know will bring you joy, BEFORE something happens or you start to feel anxious so that you are prepared.
And remember we are BETTER TOGETHER!!!!!!!! We do NOT have to go through this alone.
PLEASE DO NOT LET YOUR OWN PRIDE STAND IN THE WAY AND STOP YOU FROM BEING A HAPPIER AND HEALTHIER YOU ♡♡♡♡
