Transitioning into a mommy business model from others ways of doing business can feel super hard when you’re in them, and I wish more business owners and coaches talked about this publicly.

While we can all pretty much agree that your goal as a mommy coach is to scale your business, serve your clients, and be able to prioritize your family and life.

Not every business model or social media plan is going to get you there. If you spend time and money learning a business model that doesn’t support that (which a LOT of coaches do) then you will have to make one or both of these transitions:

• Going from focusing on views and growth on social media to sales (influencer to business owner and coach)
• Going from the bro marketing business model (if you have X convos a day, then you get X sales calls, then X sales, so to make more you just need more, to cut time you have to hire a big team, etc) to the mommy business model.

On paper the transitions make sense, and clearly support the business and life you want. However when you’re in the middle of them, it requires learning and implementing a new way of business and letting go of another you spent months or years learning - which isn’t easy.

There is a LOT of trust in the process and trust in yourself that is required, and this is where a lot of coaches quit or get discouraged.

A lot of that discouragement comes partly from feeling like you wasted time before and fear that you’re going to fail, but largely from not having clear expectations of what that transition will look and feel like so when it feels hard or slower than expected, you’re telling yourself it’s not working and you’re failing. But that’s not true.

In this episode I’m going to give you real expectations of what it looks like and feels like to go through BOTH of these transitions.

Your problem isn’t that the Instagram algorithm isn’t showing your content enough or that you didn’t get enough views, it’s that you’re focused on the wrong metric

And when we focus on the wrong metric, we start creating content for the wrong goal (ie. Views and likes instead of DMS and sales.)

And trust me I get it. Your ego feels hurt when you get 200 views on your reel that you busted your booty to create, so you scroll to see what others are doing and start creating content for more views next time.

But we are not influencers or business owners, you don’t get paid for views or numbers - you get paid for SALES.

So in this episode, I’m gonna help you forget all of the vanity metrics that stroke your ego, but don’t actually make sales, and help you refocus on the data that actually matters.

Something that is VERY important to me as a coach and a mom, and as a business coach who supports other mommy business coaches, is defining what success looks like to YOU.

So many business owners, myself included, started online not really having a clear vision of what success looked like to them specifically.

And if you never take the time to define what success looks like for you and your family, someone else will do it for you 🙃

That hustle culture business coach you hired. The online space. The other coaches in your industry that you’re comparing yourself to.

Those goals you're chasing are often not even rooted in anything real or what you actually want. Why $10k months? Why 6 figures? Why 4 clients per month?

It’s like you got on a treadmill and started running, and someone else set the speed, the time, the goal and you just keep running without really knowing what you’re running towards or why you’re doing all of this work.

As a mom and business owner, this just won’t work. Because our responsibilities, priorities and our time and capacity are just so different. We need a clear vision of what we're building, a step by step plan to build it (so we don't waste time or energy) and blinders on to everything else.

This is how you build the real holistic success that you want in your business, life, marriage, health, family, faith and joy.

There are a lot of down right ICKKKYYYY sales tactics being taught online to you as a coach and I am not about that life as a business owner.
