Today’s episode was so fun to record because this amazing Mama shares my heart to help Mamas remember to practice self-care! Meet Cathleen Bearse! She’s a wife and Mama to 3 boys. She’s also a licensed clinical social worker in private practice. She has a bachelor of arts in psychology from Miami University and a masters of science in social administration (aka social work) from Case Western Reserve University. She’s been practicing clinical social work in a variety of settings for 11 years, and she’s have been in private practice, specializing with adolescents and women for 6 years. I absolutely loved hearing about her self-care journey and how she helps her clients by being their “self-care bestie”. You will love her! Enjoy my conversation with Cathleen.
On this episode I am chatting with Nicole Redwine, founder of Mothers & Co. Its mission is to help mothers create intentional community and to connect to resources they may need as a new or established mother. She lives in Atlanta with her fiancé and two kids. We really covered a ton of relevant topics in this episode from postpartum issues to how in the world to get enough sleep! I know you will love my conversation with Nicole.
On this episode I am so excited to introduce you to Jen Babakhan who just wrote her very first book called “Detoured, The Messy Grace-Filled Journey from Working Professional to Stay-at-Home Mom” that released in July. We talk about her book, her transition from working full-time to staying home full-time and all the emotions that come with that. She lives in the central valley of CA with her husband and she is also a Homeschooling Mom of 2!
She is a contributor for Reader's Digest, and lover of coffee ice cream and Target! I loved getting to know and I know you will, too. Enjoy my conversation with Jen.
Today’s episode is super exciting because I am interviewing an author whose book released this week! Her name is Maria Furlough. She is a wife and a mother to one amazing 11-year-old daughter, three rambunctious boys and one baby boy who lives in the arms of Jesus. She teaches women's Bible studies and works as the Missions Team leader at Lake Forest Church in Huntersville, North Carolina, and is a former full-time youth pastor. She is the author of Breaking the Fear Cycle: How to Find Peace for Your Anxious Heart and her newest book that just released this week: Confident Moms, Confident Daughters: Helping Your Daughter Live Free from Insecurity and LOVE How She Looks. If you have daughters, are a daughter, know a daughter, this episode is so helpful. Enjoy my conversation with Maria.
On today’s episode I am interviewing Nicole Bernard, podcast host and marketing agency owner! Nicole lives in Hood River, Oregon with her husband, 2 kiddos and rescue dog. We had such a great chat about motherhood and she’s a working Mom so she has a lot of great insights about time management that I loved. Find her at nb.marketing and on instagram at @nb.mktg
On today’s episode I am interviewing Karla Bennett! She’s a full time mom and lives in the Dallas area with her husband and two littles, ages 6 and 3. In her spare time she runs a small, handcrafted lip balm business and a gift giving business. We’re going to talk more about that in the episode! I loved everything she had to say: from a very funny (and terrible) poop story to the time where enough was enough and her counselor told her, “YOU HAVE PERMISSION”, which was a total shift in thinking for her. You’re going to love her! Enjoy my conversation with Karla.
Today I am interviewing Katie Alexander! Katie is releasing a book called “This One's for the Working Mama” in early fall! She’s worked for 13 years in healthcare strategic planning and business development. She lives in Apollo Beach, Florida with her husband of 15 years and their two little girls Ella (11) and Meadow (5). If you work in ANY capacity, this episode is going to encourage you SO MUCH. I found myself wishing I had read her book years ago when I was battling what I call “the mythical balance” of motherhood and working at a job that I loved. I know you will love all that she has to say! Enjoy my episode with Katie.
In this episode I am interviewing my new friend Amber Salhus! She is a writer, fitness coach and podcaster who helps women come home to themselves, uncover their passions and love the body they live in. She lives in the Oregon countryside with her husband of 16 years and their 2 kids, Jax and Bella, and their ever-growing herd of animals. I met Amber just 6 months ago and we’ve become fast friends! She is the half of The Mom Wants More Podcast and I was on their show back in May. Amber cracks me up in this episode a lot and I just love how real and honest she is, especially about motherhood.
On today’s episode I am chatting my friend Hilary Sutton. She is a mom to a 7 month old and a freelance writer, podcast host, and consultant. She lives in the DC metro area with her hubby and daughter. I loved Hilary’s perspective on motherhood as a new Mama. Enjoy my conversation with my friend Hilary and check out her podcast at Hustle & Grace with Hilary Sutton!

Enjoy our conversation!
