Neil Dyer joined the military in 2000 and served in various roles, including teaching seamanship and working as a loadmaster. In 2006, he became a Navy SEAL and completed multiple deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan. 

He later trained SEALs and other special forces personnel and focused on advancing maritime operations technology and tactics. He also served as a Platoon Chief, leading 18 SEALs through training and deployment. Dyer finished his Navy career as a SEAL instructor, training over 2,000 students.
