I want to share how being unapologetically you can help you live the life of your dreams.   I, like most women, have placed a lot of my self worth in how I look since my teenage years. For women society places a lot of emphasis on what they think beauty should look like. Then we're left feeling unworthy of love if we don't look like the next flawless model.   

Because of my own insecurities, I have tried to change how I looked since I was a teenager by dying my hair, dressing a certain way and never embracing the real me and what I actually wanted to look like - I have always simply tried to fit in.   

Losing my hair due to chemotherapy has challenged that and made me look deeper to find my true beauty and value. I am so grateful to this experience because I now feel closer to my true beauty and feel I can embrace it and start to let it shine.  

In this video I share a bit of my 'beauty' and hair loss journey, while really just cracking this can of worms open a tiny bit. I also share how I believe we can embrace our beauty more by being more present with ourselves - this is how I started. Mainly because I don't want to wear a wig anymore!!

~You Can Design Your Legacy and Live The Life Of Your Dreams~  

Last year I beat cancer and every day I reflect on that fact, it amazes me. It wasn't an easy journey by any stretch of the imagination but one that some of us don't have a choice in embarking on. I wanted to share how I beat cancer to show that we all have control over our lives even when life throws us something difficult, we are in the driving seat should we wish to be. Whether you have been given a diagnosis or you're just not enjoying the life you are leading you can take back control and make a change.  

Disclaimer: I am not and do not claim to be an expert in cancer or treatment for disease and illness and I am not advising anyone on how to treat their own cancer or diagnose an illness. This is purely an account of my own personal experience including some spiritual and some scientific backed practices I used throughout my journey. If you are facing your own cancer journey then I suggest conducting your own thorough research and choose what is right for you.  

The book I reference is by Kelly A. Turner PhD who studied cases of so called 'radical remission' of cancer and learned the common factors.  

I also reference the work of Dr Joe Dispenza who I have followed religiously throughout my journey and have completed his Intensive and Progressive courses. 

The best place to start with his work I believe is his book 'You Are The Placebo'

In 2021 I was given a cancer diagnosis that changed my life, within 6 months I had beaten the odds and overcome it. I beat it by mixing traditional medicine (chemotherapy and surgery), alternative therapies, self-belief and spirituality. 

It has been a difficult year so in this new episode of Design Your Legacy I want to share my top three lessons from 2021 and hopefully something resonates with you that you can take into 2022.

Stephanie aims to advocate for polymathy among women and to increase transparency around the often elusive field of medical research and women in STEM.

The two women delve into the world of cancer research from the view of a scientist and someone going through chemotherapy at the time of recording. They speak of beauty pageants and what Stephanie has learned from them, there is more to pageantry than meets the eye.

A recurring theme throughout is the power of storytelling and what stories and legacies can do to change the world.

Roseanna and Stephanie also speak about how comparison can be the thief of joy and learning your own value instead of wishing for another life you may see on social media.
