The Mandy Connell Podcast

This episode is a must-listen for anyone interested in the future of Colorado politics. Greg Lopez, an independent candidate for governor, joins the show to discuss his vision for the state and how he plans to tackle some of its most pressing issues. From the economy to education, Greg shares his thoughts on how to make Colorado a better place for everyone.

Greg Lopez is no stranger to politics, having served as the mayor of Parker and a member of the Colorado State Legislature. He's running as an independent, which sets him apart from the traditional party lines. Greg's message is one of unity and putting people first, and he's not afraid to challenge the status quo. He talks about his plans to work with the legislature to pass a law that would allow renters to deduct their entire rent payments from their income tax, and how he'd work with developers and builders to make sure that communities aren't overcharging for water and sewer fees.

Greg also discusses the importance of streamlining the permitting process and how it affects small businesses and individuals. He shares his concerns about the state's oil and gas industry and how it's being impacted by regulations. He also talks about his plans to review the budget and identify areas where the state can cut costs, and how he'd work to make sure that the state's commissions and boards are serving the people of Colorado.

DENVER AND AURORA LAWNS, RIP TO YOU Because both cities banned watering starting today. Big fines in Denver, not so much in Aurora. What’s funny to me is that Aurora citizens have done a great job following water restrictions while Denverites largely ignored them according to Denver Water.
