Realizations I've come to for how I handle using my phone and the challenges with not being so attached to it.
John is an open book and has told his story many times, and I'm very grateful he took some time to do the same with me. In this episode John talks about mental and physical challenges he has overcome in life, from losing weight at 315 pounds to at one point attempting suicide.
We also talk shop about John's lifting and MMA coaching career, health tips for people and his outlook on life that I think many will benefit from hearing. Follow John on Instagram @johnnydurrett on Instagram and check out powerathletehq.com which we mention several times in the episode.
Had a great conversation with my guest Laurin Conlin. She is a true example of talking the talk and walking the walk when it comes to brains and beauty. Laurin is an IFBB Bikini Pro and backs up that experience with a Masters in Exercise Science and owning her own fitness coaching company. Mixing this in with an avid reading habit and a newfound love of Brazilian Jiu JItsu keeps her plenty busy.
In this episode we geek out on psychology, personalities, reading and being super transparent. Check out the show notes and mentions below:

Had a great conversation with Ede Fox who goes by Black Carnivore on Instagram and her other social accounts. Ede lost over 80 pounds on the keto diet, and was able to send her autoimmune issues into remission on the carnivore diet. She remains fully carnivore today and is on a mission to help others who may face similar weight and health issues.
The carnivore diet certainly brings its controversies, we were both skeptical when we first heard about it years ago. I encourage you to come into this episode with an open mind, I think there's a lot you can take away from Ede's story and knowledge.

Had a great conversation with a friend of mine PD Stoman. He is quite the renaissance man between being a musician, a researcher, has participated in MMA fights, owns a sports performance gym, is an avid hunter and much more! Above all that he's a rock solid dude, someone I enjoy learning from and is simply fun to talk to. I hope you enjoy our conversation.

Being “open minded” is a sexy concept nowadays, yet it seems like the more we look at culture, media and everything in between, everyone is “open minded” until an opposing view or data set comes up. Emotions run wild and make it hard to objectively look at ourselves, others and information. I don’t talk many current issues in this episode, but more ideas, a few examples and questions I want you to think about. Set emotion aside and see what observations you take away. After listening, what do you think, are you as open minded as you thought?
