Tim quit Twitter. And it's killing him. 

It has been the talk of the town for two weeks. The gawdawful bike lane that the Mayor unilaterally installed on Main Street without warning thereby destroying all businesses. 

OK, so there is some embellishment there, but there are some valid points. We have had our own questions and wanted some answers from the horse's mouth so we invited Mayor Buckley to come talk about the bike lane and his thoughts on biking in general. Alex Pline was on hand as well. Alex is a bicycle advocate and co-founder of Bike AAA and sat on the City's Transportation Board when the Master Bike Plan was developed.  There is a survey the City designed to get the public perception on biking in Annapolis. It's the clash of podcasts! What happens when you put the Righty Tighties of Red Maryland in the same room as the Lefty Loosies of The Maryland Crabs? The knives come out. Well, not exactly. It turns out that when you put four guys who all love the sound of their own voices together in the same room, they actually have a really good time. And you get a really long episode.

Brian Griffiths and Greg Kline of Red Maryland run a media empire consisting of an unapologetically right-leaning website, blog, and podcast in the bluest of blue states. They launched Maryland Podcast Month back in May to promote local podcasts and John and Tim wisely decided to ride their coattails, and a relationship grew from there. They are all now best friends and will most likely backpack across Europe together this summer. But we'll probably drive. Which is faster and easier.

Tim gets to his gardening roots...pun intended...when he visits his old friend, Ray Greenstreet of Greenstreet Gardens in Lothian, Maryland. Tim was lured to the wilds of South County with the promise of the combination of his two favorite things...plants and gadgetry. Ray and his business partner are launching a Kickstarter campaign on Thursday, September 13th at noon to introduce brēth™, a cutting-edge technological and horticultural breakthrough that uses plants to actively clean ambient air! This product is the first of its kind and is going to redefine air purifiers. So, obviously, Tim was curious. And if you usually skip the links on the episode notes...don't. Check it out:

What happens when a multi-national corporation with deep pockets tries to put a struggling industry out of business? Well, many would sit back and lament the loss; but John Minadakis from Jimmy's Famous Seafood in Baltimore is a scrapper and survivor and he swung back. Hard! PETA took aim at the crab industry and Jimmy's Famous Seafood was having none of it. They employ too many people to let down. They contribute to so many charities. They have such a long and rich history in Baltimore. So, like any scrapper worth their weight, Jimmy's swung back and is winning this war despite zero help or support from other local crab houses that are equally threatened.

Listen as we talk about Jimmy's Famous Seafood and the history, the people, the contributions, and yes--the war on Peta with John Minadakis, one of the owners of Jimmy's Famous Seafood.

Michael Hughes is not just the marketing genius behind MH Media Strategies here in Annapolis, but he spent most of his life as a radio god with a Forrest Gump-like knack for brushes with music legends. From being served tea by Sir Paul McCartney to watching Stevie Ray Vaughn air-guitar in his living room to being flown to Germany by Roger Waters to watch the epic 1991 concert at the Berlin Wall, Michael has been sitting on a treasure trove of stories that he's always been a bit reluctant to tell. That is, until Tim showed up at his office in Eastport one afternoon to coax those stories out, armed only with a bottle of hot tequila that had been sitting in his car all day during a heat wave. John took the day off to go to his anger management class, so there were no adults in the room to supervise this episode.

• 51st Annual Maryland Seafood Festival

It's controversial. The HPV vaccine. Some say it will prevent cancer. Others are not so sure. One woman in Sparks, Maryland knows that it killed her daughter.  Annapolis resident, Josh Mazer has been critical of the way this vaccine has been marketed to children. After all, it IS a sexually transmitted disease.  Mazer uncovered a letter sent to all the school superintendents in the state encouraging them to push the vaccine and suggesting that it should be included with typical pre-school vaccinations. He also dug up $90 million that the State received to market the drug.  The State is beginning to listen, but Mazer feels they have a long way to go. The genesis of this episode was an opinion piece in The Capital. It piqued our interest and we sat down with Josh with an open mind and learned a lot. And for those who will immediately jump on the "he's a wacko, nut-job, anti-vaxxer" bandwagon--he's not. And we address that! Listen, learn, question. We did.
