Signature Cocktail: Vespers

It’s a drink to quiet our minds, calm our hearts, and move toward deeper levels of our own nature

1 teaspoon dry vermouth
1 1/2oz single malt scotch
1/2oz Pedro Ximenez sherry
1/2oz Amaro Montenegro
2 grinds black pepper
twist of lemon, to garnish

Pour the vermouth into a cocktail glass, turning the glass to coat the entire internal surface. Combine scotch, sherry, amaro and pepper in a mixing jug with ice and stir rapidly to combine. Tip the vermouth out of the glass, and strain in the cocktail. Top with another grind of pepper, and garnish with a twist of lemon peel

Trambusto. Lealtà. Rispetto. Non puoi vedermi.

1oz amaretto
1oz kirschwasser eau de vie
1/2oz Maraschino liqueur
1oz lemon juice
1 bar spoon simple syrup
1/2 an egg white
1 dash Angostura bitters

Combine in a shaker without ice and shake for 30 seconds to emulsify egg. Add ice and shake hard for 30 seconds until the outside of the shaker frosts over. Strain into cocktail glass, using a fine mesh strainer if you have one.

3/4oz bourbon
3/4oz fresh squeezed orange juice
3/4oz Cherry Heering
3/4oz sweet vermouth
cherry or orange peel, for garnish

Combine in a shaker of ice and shake extremely hard for 30 seconds. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with orange peel or cherry.

1oz peach juice
1 1/2oz bourbon
1/2oz Simple syrup
1/4oz Southern Comfort
1/4oz Triple Sec
1/2oz lemon juice
Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake to chill and combine. Strain over ice in an old fashioned glass.

Guest Cocktail: Kentucky Nightmare

This drink is like a hamburger with Predator braids. You’d know if you’d been there. Your guitar would explode in your hands.

1oz coffee liqueur
1oz Jim Beam Fire or Fireball Whiskey
3 dashes hot sauce
Layer coffee liqueur and Jim Beam in a cocktail glass, and add hot sauce.

Bonus Cocktail: Death Flip

You don’t want to meet this drink in a dark alley while knifin’ around.

1oz tequila
1/2oz Green Chartreuse
1/2oz Jagermeister
1/4oz simple syrup
1 whole egg
pinch of grated nutmeg (garnish)
Combine ingredients in a shaker without ice and shake to emulsify. Add ice and shake again. Strain over ice in a cocktail glass through a fine mesh strainer.

2oz Bourbon
1 bar spoon of Marmelade
1/2oz Sweet Vermouth
1/4oz Amaretto
1 dash orange bitters
Combine bourbon and marmalade in a shaker without ice and stir until marmalade dissolves. Add ice and other ingredients and shake to chill and combine. Strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a cherry and orange twist. Note: for a dryer version, omit amaretto and replace sweet vermouth with dry vermouth.
