It is the most successful system in football of identifying boom and bust in the NFL QBs drafted. This year has 4 guys I lean toward success, three neutrals (2 system guys) and a bunch of busts including 3 of the top 5.

This is the look back on the 1st round of the NFL draft since 2000. It is another amazing projection. A few more bust projections worked out than other rounds but all your HOFers checked all 3 of the boxes out of college.  Take a listen and make your projections.

This is the look back on the 2nd rounders of the NFL draft since 2000. It is another amazing projection. Nailed almost all the failures and hit on the winners.  All but one of the 11 guys that DID NOT check off the boxes is left and the other 10 weren't even close. On the flip side, the guys that checked them all dominated this round. One HOFer and some really good players. I touch on my biggest miss and how it may have been avoided.

This is the look back on the 4th round of the NFL draft since 2000. This is where the 3 boxes of intangibles gets strong. All the guys that didnt check them all failed and those that did check all 3 had some strong results.

This is the look back on the 5th round of the NFL draft since 2000 and a 5-7 round summary.  Not a lot of excitement but good to know what to expect out of the later rounds and how the 2021 draft class fits within it (audio later in series).

Only real success is Orlavsky who managed to grab 12 years of NFL rostering before hanging it up.  Yes, he checked all the boxes. - Bartoo

This is the look back on the 6th round of the NFL draft since 2000. This is the Tom Brady round for those that do not remember.  Guys that don't check all the boxes failed at a near 100% rate again. However, the guys that did check them all, like Brady, had some reasonable success including LeFevour, Gradkowski and Minshew.  The two surprises that made it well without all the boxes checked were from Virginia Tech and West Virginia. - Bartoo

This is the look back on the 7th round of the NFL draft since 2000.  In a nutshell, they are all a whiff. Nothing good is they check the 3 intangibles or not. Only one guy made it and it was all on his own.

Listen for the nugget on a common but false take on the NFL drafting QBs. When you hear it, you'll never forget it and remember to call out those that use it!  Bartoo
