As a Duck alum, I rarely get the chance to just hit on Oregon and the PAC12. The host, Justin Hopkins, was one of my original followers many moons ago and it was fun to chat. They said it would be 15-20 minutes. LMAO, that's what they all say until I get talking. Good luck getting me to slow down let alone shut up.

Mostly Utes with an emphasis on the upcoming Holy War next weekend. I am pretty down on the rivalry and it's competitiveness going forward. BYU is a pain in the butt to forecast with their roster profile but with the entry of Utah into the PAC12, their recruiting started accelerating in 2010 through this year while BYU has seen their recruiting drop to its lowest level this century.

Recruiting is not the end all in college football but it is the start of trying to tell the story of where a program is headed, good and bad, as well as their range of potential.  That is what the Matrix tries to do, tell a story.  It might be right or wrong, but it has a reason, which is not a common part of folks talking about college football.  They can tell you what the expect but not consistently why.  With the CFBMatrix, you have enough info that you can almost predict what I am going to say.

Recruiting is part of that story and in this pod I talk about the AAC and profile each team with regards to their annual ranking and trends, their 4 year trends and where they fall in the conference and all of FBS.  Its pretty tight and may be best coaching staff win.

The Big 12 commissioner has been complaining about conferences not playing 9 conference games like his conference. It must mean he feels it creates a better profile of comparison and a playing field that is more level?

If that is the case then the talent and coaching should be closer to level as well. This for the hell of it audio is a look at how I see the SEC realigning to help make that level playing field of schedules a little closer between the SEC and the Big 12

A short intro and back ground to those new the story by numbers ways of the CFBMatrix. It then moves into the 12th annual CFB title contenders pool breakdown where I eliminate the non contenders based on the trends of the last 20 winners. Ill get through 3 filters on the way to going into part II with just 9 potential contenders.

About a week ago I tweeted out that every single team in the Pac-12 South is on Pace do you have a average class ranking below their four-year moving average. This is extremely unusual and could certainly be the start of a very adverse Trend in the conference. It's so bad in Arizona that the top 10 ranked recruits in that states are all leaving the state. The Bill Riley show had me on in Salt Lake City to discuss

This is the 125th segment on Out of Bounds, with Bo Bounds. The hot talk is coaching in January in the SEC, specifically the Vols snagging Chaney from UGA. The word is brakes, as in pump them.

A look back on my last visit in the summer of 2018 when I said Saban had his worst OCDC pairing in his Alabama tenure and a glance ahead to what's next for Alabama

Dave hopes on the line with Paul Finebaum, August 14th, 2018 and goes on the record stating the coordinator grades don't match national title winners which puts Alabama out.

I think it is appropriate that the 2019 podcast season is kicked off with, what in my biased opinion, was one of the single hottest takes in the 2018 football season.
