The Matrix Effect

Since the first Playoff Committee rankings in 2014, my colleague Adam and I have had the best behavior modeling record of the PoComm rankings in the country.  With an average miss of .8 (point eight) spots per top 25 team, there is nothing that comes close. We use 8 variables and NO eye test, because there is no such thing. Its like a Bigfoot sighting or unicorn glitter farts, fun but not realistic.

This podcast, I didnt have Adam with me, is a breakdown of the past 30 rankings by the playoff committee applied to the current season through LAST week (11) Listen and get your mind ready for our first pre-pocomm ranking show on Monday the 23rd of November. - Bartoo

Now that the Big Ten has thrown its names into the hat, lets talk about all the national championship contenders. I know, hell if we know who is and is not going to play and how the playoff committee is going to react, but let go through the same talent/coaching/efficiency metrics I have used to narrow the field of winners and losers of the national title game for the last 21 seasons.

To download my talent composite and 2019 efficiency sheets to follow along the breakdown goto patreon.com/cfbmatrix and become a member. Get all 130 teams for 2020 including teams outside the top 20 of talent, teams 16-20 that have never made a title game this century, teams 11-15 that have made 4 and won 1 and teams 1-9 that have repped 38 of the last 42 winners and losers and why Texas, A&M, Georgia, LSU and Ohio State match teams that have won 2 of the last 21 titles and Alabama, Clemson, Oklahoma and Penn State have won 18 of 21.

Thank you for the support in advance. This pod goes through my POV on the Qbs available and why I feel this class is subpar as a whole and that there are no all pros in this group. Why the draft for Qbs is over today, my fave leans in round 1 and my wildcard for surviving in the NFL more than 3 years if drafted after round 2.

A profile of the MWC Mountain Division talent and metrics from #1 Boise State to the best over performer the last 7 years in the conference, Utah State.

A quick review of the Talent recruiting in the MAC West over the last 15 years and the last 4 which impacts the 2020 season. One thing is clear. The best coaches in the division the last 15 years have come from NIU and the current best coach is Jim McElwain (which makes you wonder who is next to be replaced)
