Last we left off, just a few hours after the assassination attempt on Garron, the party sets its sights on Grimwing. They move in to strike and just manage to get the drop on him. Voyas blocks the door to the Harpy Room with her shield (Captain America style), and the patrons start to panic. On the outside, Zechs sees guards move towards the door and the sounds of Arbane’s voice and his beasts in the distance. Meanwhile, back inside the party quickly discovers just exactly how the Stone of Revival works and the mystery behind the venom walkers. As Grimwing meets his end, a flash of light leaves his chest, goes towards the tower, and back into him in a flash. He is transformed into a massive drider-like creature that screeches loud enough for the entire casino to hear. Galahad, Voyas, and the others go to strike the creature down, and outside, Zechs knows that’s his cue to act. Grimwing falls twice but is, just as quickly, brought back up as this creature. Zechs finally gets to the rest of the group to see the sight for himself and warns them that they have company incoming. Salix banishes the creature, and Galahad takes his mighty sword Kanna’s Fury and creates a giant hole for an exit. The group disappears into the night back to the safe house, uncertain if they were followed but confident that, despite how things went, the information they learned was vital. Invenas is on high alert, the party is exhausted but feeling accomplished for once, and they decide to rest before the madness ensues the next day. There’s so much happening, and that’s where we pick up…

The party heads out to the known hangout for Grimwing of the Web of Fate. A casino in the Vice Ward that resembles a stranded ship is where they are said to be that night. The party meticulously plans its next course of action. Zechs covers the exits from the crow's nest, and Shanks, Arguile, and Salix are disguised as nondescript wood elves. The rest of the party goes unnoticed with the invisibility spell cast by Salix. The recon commences, and after some time, they, shy of Zechs, find their target. Grimwing seems on edge and is seen placing a finger on his temple. Then, one of his associates heads for the door. Despite an attempt at interference, the party seems to think that if they don’t strike now, they will never get this chance again. Galahad and Voyas close in, and Grimwing’s bow of warning alerts him to danger, along with his blind sense. The tension is high, and the stage is set. Where will this next episode leave our team? There’s so much happening, and that’s where we pick up…

After the plan to remove Garron from the board failed, the party reassessed its options as time was running out. They decide to potentially go after the stone and ask Iggy if he knows how to get them into the Shrine of Fate. He tells them he does, but he only has two amulets, which allow them entry under the guise of captains. They go directly to meet with him to strike up a deal for the amulets and procure any pertinent information about the tower, ritual, stone, and members of the Web of Fate that they can. It seems like the party is planning a heist. There’s so much happening, and that’s where we pick up…

The party lures Garron into the alleyway, and their plan to ambush her commences. Everything seems to go well until she falls down the manhole and has her bow stripped away from her, but that’s when everything came undone for the team. A dazed, confused, and scared Garron casts magical darkness on Galahad’s armor, and by the time Glad can dispel it, she is nowhere to be found. Despite every means of tracking, magic, and godly consultation, they lose their target, and slowly they begin to give up on finding her. Galahad, Zechs, and Shanks are the last ones to leave the tunnel before finally giving up on her returning for her bow, and the team heads out of the tunnel to reconvene and plan once more. There’s so much happening, and that’s where we pick up…

This is it, we are moments away from the party’s attempt on Garron. They reconvene in the Tea Shop and meticulously go over every inch of their plan. It is around this time that Galahad thought about the Stone of Revival. What do they actually know about it? All this information is taken into account. It’s time for everyone to take their places. Thanks to some deception and quick thinking by Voyas, she was able to course-correct Garron’s trajectory out of the tea shop. The air is thick with tension, and there’s no telling where the chips may fall. There’s so much happening, and that’s where we pick up…

After making their retreat, Galahad collapses the tunnel entrance behind them. Before moving forward, the group checks in and takes stock of what just happened. During this time, Scyrah goes to explore the cave up ahead and is told to report back to Arguile anything she finds. The group rests here, licks their wounds, and comes up with a plan of action. They meet back up with the resistance and Finnea, who informs them of other notable members of the resistance who might be able to provide aid to the party. The group decides to visit the tea shop known as Herbal Delights and the owner, Alésia. This fight could have gone in any direction. The Collateral party fought hard, and despite their best efforts, they learned a very tough but valuable lesson. A ninth-level Mass Heal from The Judge picks up the opposing side. Immediately, the tides are shifting, and the team considers a tactical retreat. It’s not what they wanted; they were SO CLOSE, but alas, you live to fight another day. In a series of creativity and desperation, they begin to make their way towards the opposite exit of the cave. They pick up downed members, fire spells, and strike enemies as best as they can on the way out. Galahad bamfs out his wings and grabs whoever he can and bolts to the cave entrance, ready to strike down a smite to cause a cave-in. It won’t buy them a lot of time, but they’ll take whatever time they can. There’s so much happening, and that’s where we pick up…

With the party’s escape from prison, they briefly part ways with the prisoners and reconvene at a safe house in the city. They find a small bit of the resistance in the underground system of Invenas. Meanwhile, Salix is also in the midst of escape. Eventually, they’re reunited, and the group meets Salix’s rescuer, Finnea, who they are told may have much information on what they are seeking. After a late and very-needed rest for everyone, Finn manages to give the group the rundown as best as possible. They suddenly find people in a hurry leaving in the opposite direction from them. The group braces itself for an inevitable fight. Galahad manages to use his “frightful presence” to convince the guards to stand down. Then calling Arbane and his group out for a good old-fashioned brawl. We find The Judge, anti-Shanks, and anti-Zechs, with a tiefling woman in tow. Everyone takes a position as the first fight between Collateral Damage and The Web of Fate commences! There’s so much happening, and that’s where we pick up…
