In a recent bombshell scientific paper, Harvard astronomer and head of the Galileo Project Avi Loeb joined forces with Dr. Sean Kirkpatrick, the director of the DoD's All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office to make the argument for "physical constraints" they say can be applied to unidentified aerial phenomena.
"Claims of objects exceeding the transonic to supersonic range," the authors argue in the paper, should be studied based on the "known physics of ionization, radar reflectivity, temperature, sonic booms, and fireballs." Avi Loeb joins us to discuss this unique paper, as well as the equally novel collaboration that produced it, and how it could provide significant benefits to future studies involving UAP, on this week's episode of The Micah Hanks Program.

Recent incidents involving objects the Pentagon has, to date, refused to identify have renewed debate over excessive secrecy in the United States, especially as it relates to the question of unidentified aerial phenomena. If the government won't release imagery it has of suspected balloons shot down over North America, then what does this say about any truly anomalous imagery in its possession?
Joining us to discuss this is reporter Tim McMillan, who weighs in on the subject of excessive secrecy with relation to the ongoing UAP debate in this installment of The Micah Hanks Program.

Last week, as controversy following the recent downing of unidentified objects over North America continued, President Joe Biden finally spoke out on the matter, defending his administration's decision to shoot down three objects that, to this date, still officially remain unidentified.
The President's remarks offered a rare glimpse at Biden's position on UAP, or what he characterized as "unidentified aerial objects," and his role in directing the intelligence community to learn what they can about them. This week on The Micah Hanks Program, we analyze the President's statements, the leading explanations for what the objects were, and why the Pentagon remains silent on recent images that have surfaced online purporting to depict an anomalous object over Mosul, Iraq.

On Friday, February 10, 2023, a dramatic series of events began to unfold involving the shoot-down of what the Pentagon characterized as an "object" over northeastern Alaska. The White House was quick to comment on the incident, and within just hours, a second object was taken down over Canada, followed by a third object over Lake Huron on Sunday. As of Tuesday, none of the objects have been identified, leaving the American public with more questions than answers.
This week on The Micah Hanks Program, in addition to providing updates on the quickly developing situation involving the shoot-down of several unidentified flying objects over North America, we are also joined by investigative journalist Leslie Kean, who discusses recent UAP-related events, and the government and media's role in the slow release of new information about it.

Recently, a suspected Chinese spy balloon was shot down by a U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor as it drifted over the Atlantic off the South Carolina coast, ending an unusual series of events that placed additional strain on already tense relations between China and the United States.
With a payload the size of three school buses, China claimed the balloon was "a civilian airship used for research, mainly meteorological, purposes," although U.S. officials said otherwise. However, the bizarre events have also reinvigorated debate over the DOD's investigations into UAP, and whether some instances involving military encounters with strange phenomena could represent similar spy balloon incursions. This week, we dive into the controversy, joined by Space.com editor Brett Tingley, and examine one of the most unusual diplomatic crises in recent memory on The Micah Hanks Program.

On November 23, 2019, a FLIR camera system onboard an RC-26B aircraft with the Air National Guard managed to film an unconventional flying object as it passed over Arizona. Displaying no visible means of propulsion or aerodynamic lift, the odd footage has been touted as one of several examples of Department of Homeland Security videos depicting unidentified aerial phenomena.
This week, joining us to discuss his scientific analysis of what has since been dubbed the "Rubber Duck UAP" is Peter Reali, a researcher with the Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies. Peter's new paper, "A Forensic Analysis of 'Rubber Duck,' a Publicly Available Video Showing a UAP Purportedly Filmed by Arizona National Guard on November 23, 2019," provides the most comprehensive analysis to-date of the mysterious object in the video, which we discuss in-depth on this week's installment of The Micah Hanks Program.

On October 31, 2022, the second installment of a series of reports involving the Department of Defense's ongoing evaluation of unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) was scheduled for delivery, and after weeks of waiting, the ODNI report has finally been delivered... and with mixed reception from the UAP community.
This week, we provide a complete breakdown and analysis of what the data in the report actually means, explain why it's significant, and what the mainstream media missed in its attempts at reporting on it. Then, we are joined by former Navy fighter pilot Ryan Graves, who offers his own perspectives on the ODNI report and its relevance to aviation safety issues presented by UAP in this installment of The Micah Hanks Program.

For decades, rumors of an alleged film depicting the landing of a flying saucer at Holloman Air Force Base have persisted, following the depiction of a story based on the alleged incident in a 1970s documentary, UFOs: Past, Present, and Future, and in a book of the same title by Robert Emenegger. The story emerged after Emenegger was purportedly told he would be given the footage for his documentary, a promise his sources did not keep.
Over the years, several similar instances of this "dangling carrot" phenomenon, where UFO researchers were promised explosive information by military officials, only to be denied the information at a later time, have occurred. It was ultimately revealed that much of this had involved disinformation efforts by special agents with the United States Air Force during the 1970s and 1980s, an effort that some claim is still underway. This week, we explore the question of disinformation related to UFOs on The Micah Hanks Program.

In a recent series of Wall Street Journal opinion editorials, columnist Holman Jenkins Jr. has argued that military UAP encounters might be the result of a "secret military laser program", which he suggested might have been tested on active-duty pilots and that the Pentagon "may know exactly what [UAP] are." His criticisms of the topic, and of military personnel who have had such encounters, recently evoked a response from former Navy fighter pilot Ryan Graves, who wrote in a rebuttal published by The Debrief that "This kind of cynical speculation gives rise to the stigma that has long surrounded UAP. Not only does it have a chilling effect on military and commercial pilots coming forward, but it also discourages scientists from pursuing funding to study these phenomena."
This week, we dive into the controversy surrounding UAP and the military, as we examine the testimony of pilots who say they have encountered anomalous phenomena while on duty, as well as the opinions of various commentators who suggest that UAP are likely to be nothing more than secret government technologies. Is there a large-scale deception underway, in an effort to guard the "real" truth about UAP from the public... and even active-duty members of the military who encounter them? We explore these, and other possibilities in this week's installment of The Micah Hanks Program.
