The Mission North Shore - Current Teaching

Ephesians 2/Romans 5&6: Since Jesus has broken the power of sin over your life, don't let sin in; deal with it; if sin persists it's because you let it. So surrender and give yourself completely to God. Do not abuse the grace God has gifted us with.

Acts 14 & 15 There are no works or rituals that need to be added to faith for you to be saved. You are completely and wholly accepted not because of anything you did but solely based on the work that was done for you by Jesus Christ on the Cross.

Acts 13:42-52 God is a faithful God so we can rest assured that He will keep the many promises He made to His people. Hebrews 10:23 "Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful."

Acts 13: Do we as Christians know our Bible? Are we equipped and ready with the Gospel? 2Timothy 2:15 "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth."

Acts 13:4-12 Are we known in our circles as the go to person when they want to seek the truth about God? is it clear that we have a real relationship and connection with the Lord? Don't be afraid to share the gospel-it is unstoppable and powerful.

Acts 13:1-5 How can we know or find God's directions for our life or ministry? We need to be engaged in ministry and be drawing near to the Lord to find our direction and calling in life. Listen for the Lord and He will guide us.

Acts 12 Pride can stand in the way of us becoming true disciples of Christ. Let us turn our spotlight away from ourselves and onto the Lord.

Acts 12:1-11 The Bible calls on us to pray fervently and to believe in the power of prayer. "If we call upon the Lord, He has promised in His word to answer, to bring the unsaved to Himself, to pour out His Spirit among us. If we don't call upon the Lord, He has promised nothing-nothing at all. It's as simple as that. No matter what I preach or what we claim to believe in our heads, the future will depend upon our times of prayer." Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire by Jim Cymbala
