The Morning After STL episodes

  • Defense, Doggies, Defense (Hour 3)

(00:00-2:16) Continuing the Funky Thursday here on 101 ESPN. The city's going crazy for it. A DiCaprio-esque delivery.

(2:24-10:32) Some schedule clarity from Martin. The Veiled Prophet is on the phone lines with a Doggies report. Prophet says the game was closer than the score would lead you to believe. Lots of excitement and anticipation around City right now. Cuban sandwiches. Winning this baby is possible. Don't say table. Or fixtures. Or grounds. Or pitch.

(10:42-18:39) Design Aire Heating & Cooling EMOTD

(00:00-20:17) Mt. Rushmore of Oakland artists. What makes something Oakland Funk? The Ice Guardians podcast. Wanna see Chaser's Number 39 hanging the rafters at Enterprise Center. Martin's not sure that's in play. Latest from Ross Dellenger's latest on the expanding College Football Playoff. Doubling of the postseason a "foregone conclusion." Logistics of the proposed 24 team playoff. Stakeholders. That pervert is fourth.

(20:25-39:37) Blues captain, Robert Thomas joins us from Austin. Doing a little team bonding before the season gets going tomorrow night. Shots fired at Tim's golf game. We ask Robert about the expectations for the Blues and the areas of improvement that they will try to focus on early in the season. Robert also talks about some of the young guys, including Dalibor Dvorský, and some of the advice he can give.

(39:47-1:00:45) Bad Mamma Jamma. Lil Kim and Foxy Brown. Some nerve on Robert Thomas bringing up Tim's golf game. Frankly it's uncalled for. Right again, GOAT. More audio from our favorite new guy, Hunter Brody. Hunter was made for The Sopranos. What'd you think of Tim's plays on The Spread Zone. Doesn't sound like Doug's interested. Jackson loves Clemson this weekend. Audio of Josh Pate giving his thoughts on the Mizzou/Florida game. A Ramen Noodle Express. Doug doesn't have a good feeling about Mizzou.

Victory lap from Tim's MLB playoff parlay. Tim makes picks, we make money. What a lil' champion. Today starts text name change week. First thing you do is find a Sizzler. Congrats to Shooter McGavin for winning a garage door. Poor Kevin Miller. Lisa is on the line and wants to congratulate Jackson on his promotion. Lisa gets fired up about Oli Marmol. TBO: The Burkett Opinion. Doggies are handing out free money. Clean sheet. Robert Thomas at 9:00. Hypocriful.

(34:19-1:00:41) Feels like a Funky Thursday. Has Martin started watching Eastbound & Down? Jackson declares Danny McBride the funniest person of the 21st century. What's in that bag? A barrel of crypto for Doug. Audio of our guy Hunter Brody pontificating on the Braves/Phillies game. Central casting for Philly sports talk radio. Audio of an unhappy Sonny Grab talking about being pulled early from last night's game. Somebody needs to blow their nose.

(1:00:51-1:22:32) Is this The Neutron Dance? Use your hand on Jackson and you get what you want. A fraud and a hypocrite. Stop trying to make hypocriful work. Friend of the show, Mike McGreevy hops on the phone lines with us. Moving day for Mike. Preparing to drive to Southern California. No rooting for Texas Tech. Giving us a breakdown of his 2026 season. His velocity. Pitch counts. Starting pitchers in the postseason. Growing up a Padres fan. Moving company's there, he's gotta go (or he didn't like Doug's question).

  • Can They Stay Hot? College Football Week 5 & NFL Week 4 | The Spread Zone

Another week, another packed slate of football on The Spread Zone.

Anthony Stalter is catching fire and coming off a 6-1 week. Tim McKernon continues to dominate the board on college football Saturdays, but Rizz is still trying to find his footing in the new season as his struggles continue.

On the college side, they break down some great values in the weekend's marquee matchups. First, homecoming week in Columbia as the Missouri Tigers take on the red-hot Florida Gators. Then up to Iowa City as the Hawkeyes play host to the Ohio State Buckeyes and Heisman frontrunner Jeremiah Smith. Will Indiana's offense get back to their national championship form against Rutgers? Plus, how to play the first leg of the Commander-In-Chief trophy as Air Force and Navy prepare for battle.

On to the NFL, the guys try to rebound after a wild week of upsets and bad bounces. First, the battle for Texas as the surprisingly terrible Texans take on the Cowboys. Is it Houston's week to bounce back? Should we expect a shootout in the Bay Area? Will Drake Maye revive his season against Josh Allen and the Bills?

It’s all on a new episode of The Spread Zone.
