Dave was surprised to learn how a certain breed of dog was responsible for rescuers finding a man. And he was just as surprised as some in the Pittsburgh airport that found a diamond. 

Bill will always find a way to play a game on the show. And today, he led us in a game of Bible Trivia Tuesday. One of the questions prompted Carmen to find a sermon that she heard from Robert Madu. 

Carmen then found a way to get back at Bill with her 5 Useless Facts Tuesday. She also answered a few DMs that she has gotten including her latest Amazon finds. 

Bill found a great message from a devotional from Paul David Tripp. And that prompted Carmen to share her latest literary find and how she's asking what she would do if she were in the situation of the protagonist. 

Bill found a way to make BBQ easy and wondered if Dave or his sons would try it.

Dave took a quick trip to the BIg Apple to see Chris Tomlin as he performed "Under The Stars" in Central Park. He shared about his experience over the weekend. 

Finding the perfect gift for Dave is a tall order for Bill and often comes with a big price tag. 

Moving is a big job and we have a lot of "what-nots" lying around the office. As we look to de-clutter, Carmen gave away a replica of a tall ship from for King & Country to a listener and Dave was inspired to do the same. 

Joel likes to ponder a lot of life's big questions and Carmen shared some of his thoughts on criticism and hard words. 

First responders out west have some big tasks ahead of them as they respond to fires at the Grand Canyon and the recovery efforts from the flooding in Texas. 

Bill got a gift recently and it requires a lot of work to eventually gift to future generations. And that reminded Carmen of the memorial service for a coworker's dad over the weekend of the big heart that Ross O'Banion served the Lord with.

Missing a Gen Z coworker in your office? They're not lost. They are probably just "bathroom camping". 

Carmen had a moment this morning when she thought she lost her wedding ring. Turns out, she just left it at home as she was lost in thought with all that is going on at work and home. 

Have you ever lost a gemstone in your ring? Bill had that thought recently. 

A 19-year-old is on a solo flight mission around the world and almost lost his bid for the achievement when he got arrested recently. Anytime we bring up fying with Carmen, Dave is reminded of the story where she lost her lunch on a small plane. 

When texting with the younger generation, certain things can get lost in translation as Bill and Jules can attest.

One man may lose a legal battle with his neighbors after he cut down trees in a neighbor's yard to improve the view from the house he's trying to sell. Bill is worried about the possibility of losing a tree in his yard as the roots encroach on the house, driveway and sidewalk.

Jules often comes to Bill for words of wisdom but Bill flipped the script today to ask Jules for help on the rules of texting with the younger generations. 

There is a lot of wisdom to glean from the Book of Proverbs. And there is just as much to glean from Gospel Friends. 

Wisdom comes with age but is it wise to take a bite of a 77-year-old fruit cake? 

Carmen's in need of a new Wordle word after she discovered that her starting word wouldn't get her a hole-in-one as it was already used. She leaned on the wisdom of ChatGPT for some help in finding a new word but as it is still in its infancy, that may not be the best place for wise words or math problems. 

With some help though, she did come up with a new word but won't be sharing it until she gets her hole-in-one! 

Next week, we're hoping to hear a new version of Jamie McDonald's song, Desperate, with her old friend, Lauren Daigle.

Carmen invested in a tool to help measure the humidity in a room as she has limits to what is comfortable in our new  building.

Bill picked up a new toy and may need a tin foil hat to go along with it. Carmen was on the fence about it but may need to pay a little more attention.

As the tragic news unfolded over the weekend from the flash flooding in Texas, we saw a lot of good and bad happening. We spent some time throughout the morning sharing thoughts and prayers with those in Texas as they continue rescue efforts despite more bad weather in the forecast. 

Dave spent much of his weekend watching coverage of the start of the Tour De France. 

Bill and his wife decided to do an at-home workout and watched a YouTube video but Bill didn't tell Kimberly exactly who the video was for until the end! 

If you went to Carmen's house late last week, you might agree with her daughter that she got "Costco-ed" when you saw how many tomatoes she got from the wholesale club! 

And if you looked in Dave's fridge over the weekend, you'd see some foods not traditionally eaten on the July 4th weekend. 

Folks enjoying the beaches in New York got quite the surprise with some shark sightings. 

Carmen spent some time watching Hamilton over the weekend and then she did a little more reading about him and was a bit surprised to see that she didn't necessarily agree with his stances. She also watched another episode of season 3 of The Chosen. Meanwhile, Dave finished season 5 of The Chosen over the weekend and shared some of the highlights from the latest season. But as he shared that we had a few people asking for no spoilers. Bill had a bit of a response to that.

As we get ready for Independence Day tomorrow, we talked the economy and some July 4th trivia. Dave then got our attention with a lesson on The Stamp Act and Bill tried to follow that up with a valiant attempt at keeping our attention. 

As we prepare to move into our new space, some things require attention to detail and moving an inch at a time.

One adventurous couple is preparing for a wedding but making headlines for their unique engagement photo. 

For Bill, the words of Psalm 131 grabbed his attention much like an explosive firework display. 

Country music is always part of a good patriotic playlist. Anne Wilson's new song has that country sound that so many enjoy. And much like this country was founded on the principles of faith, this song resonates in a similar way. 

Jules didn't prepare all that well for a recent trip to the restroom. But she does have a game that requires a lot of prep and would be fun (and slightly dangerous) to play with the family this holiday weekend.

After hearing about it on social media and others in her circle, Carmen was influenced to join Costco. But she had to wait until yesterday when the date was good and her hair was done. 

You might be surprised to learn what country music artist Anne Wilson considers to be her musical influence.

We celebrate the influence of our Founding Fathers this week with Independence Day celebrations. How will you be celebrating? Dave's favorite July 4th celebration was a spectacular fireworks display influenced by incoming weather. 

When you hold the moniker, "Smartest Man In the World" you certainly have some influence. And the South Korean man that holds that title is proclaiming the name of Jesus Christ. Hopefully that will influence others in the scientific communities as well. 

Two of the brands that Carmen has come to know and love because of influencers are at war over some clothing that looks similar. 

One of the trendy food items these days is street corn, and it didn't take much for Carmen to be influenced to pick some up yesterday on her first shopping trip at Costco.

Jules heard the story of a man that tried to rescue his dog from a locked public bathroom and shared that she had a similar situation where she was held captive in a bathroom thanks to a faulty door. 

And while she had a captive audience with Dave, Bill and Carmen, she pitched them on the idea of playing a version of kickball with a slip n' slide! We can only imagine how many people would end up getting hurt. 

Speaking of being hurt, Dave is a litte sore this morning after putting together an outdoor firepit. 

With the 4th of July coming up on Friday, Bill shared a list of some possible captions for your Instagram pics. 

Speaking of Instagram, Bill shared a post from Dr. James DiNcolantonio that Dave couldn't seem to get on board with. 

Everybody is talking about the heroic rescue and capture of a young girl and her dad that went overboard on a Disney cruise recently. 

After seeing the picture of Dave's new outdoor fire pit, Carmen wants one too. 

No one was held captive or captured in the underground tunnels of London during the war, but in a few years you can check it out as a tourist attraction. 

Carmen was ready to go with Dave to London so he could see these tunnels but she caught wind of a plane incident in Japan that had the passengers writing notes to loved ones and she's already rethinking that commitment.
