2 weeks from today, we'll be in the midst of our first day of Friendraiser 2025. To celebrate, we shared a new video starring Jayar. And despite the fact that he is a bit confused, he's getting a lot of acclaim for his performance from those who have seen it.

A sorta-familiar face got a lot of acclaim on American Idol when they learned who his dad is.

Carmen is out today and feeling under the weather. A little resilience will be needed for her as we've got a couple of big weeks coming up. And we all need a little resilience to adjust to the time change as there is always a spike in car accidents around this time. A little extra coffee today will help as well. 

A new season of American Idol has started and to make it to the end for these contestants, resilience will certainly be needed. But with 2 country artists on the judges' panel now, will country musicians have an easier road ahead? 

As we enter tax season, Gen Z will need a little resilience in fighting off AI-based tax scams. We do know that that generation has a strong stance on splitting the bill. 

To go to space certainly requires resilience and SpaceX has seen many successes and failures in their attempts to explore the unknown. 

With Friendraiser coming up soon, resilience is necessary to reach the goal. 

Ellie Holcomb has written a children's book for Easter to help illustrate how resilience is a part of that special season. 

Resilience is also required to get through the Bible, even when you don't understand it. 

Even though Carmen is out, Bill is anxious to share a video with you, but that might get him in trouble with a lot of people around here.

It's time to turn back the clocks this weekend for Daylight Savings Time. And while we'll be losing an hour of sleep, we are gaining an hour of sunlight. And that could help get back on his bike and go for a ride, as long as he lets Carmen know he's safely home afterwards .

Each morning, Bill spends some time reading a devotional from Paul Tripp and he shared what he learned about hope in pain. That reminded Dave of a devotional he's reading with Chad Bird about the character of Job and the pain he suffered. 

Time is ticking as we get closer to Friendraiser and your chance to register for the first day fill-up. That's all we will say about that until Monday. 

Carmen isn't sure what happened in the time between a notification she got for a package that had arrived and when she went to the mailbox only to discover it was not there. 

Some bees are taking a time out and resting on Dave's mailbox which is delaying his mail pickup. 

Bill shared a story that reminded him of one of Carmen's "Lucy moments". And that had Carmen thinking of another moment that had us in stitches.

It's that time as we get closer to having FriendRaiser. And Carmen was also curious if Dave has continued to play Wordle as he continues to journey through a difficult time. 

Carmen got a new little toy in the form of an at-home egg bite maker, but the question now is how long will she actually use it. In that conversation, we also learned the differences in pimentos and bell peppers. 

Dave shared the story of the timing that it took to fall in love with Emilie. The first time they met, he saw her playing basketball and thought she was a 12-year-old boy! 

Yesterday marked the beginning of Lent. And yesterday, Carmen hosted her Bible Study and wanted to talk about Christmas and the nativity. 

Dave went to see a friend in Ft. Myers and was reminded of one of his favorite coffee spots. As he looked at where else they were located he realized that they have a location near where his son will be moving to in South Carolina. 

And while we were discussing that, we became distracted for much of the rest of the show as jackhammers were being operated just outside the studio. We had hoped their timing wouldn't interfere with the on-air show, but that didn't time out well! 

Jules found out that her daughter thought a late night crafting project was the perfect time to use some gorilla glue. And it's that time for prom season. Jules took her daughter to the store recently and had a bit of sticker shock. 

While driving the last couple of days, Bill realized that we are in deer rut season as many deer are along the sides of the road and sadly, some lose their life.

Back at Christmas, Dave's wife had purchased a gift for him but lost it before she could give it to him. Dave recently found the item and shared how grief hit him in the moment that he located it. That story reminded Carmen of a story that Dave had told about his Dad planting strawberries before he passed and his family found it and it brought back a flood of memories for them. 

Carmen can't find her favorite yogurt in  stores and wondered if there was a shortage. 

A new trend on TikTok suggests you can get all the way to your airport gate in 15 minutes. But it seems as though many are losing that battle when they put the trend to the test. 

Carmen and Dave each found songs to share as part of our Midweek Praise Break. 

And Dave found a study from Instacart that highlights the top pies across the country.

As Dave continues to walk through the loss of his wife, he was reminded of the need for church through a TobyMac song this morning. He also mentioned that there are times he would appreciate a change of subject to not stay focused on the grief. And now, Dave and Dolly Parton are walking through a similar season of change as she announced the loss of her husband last night after 62 years together. 

Carmen is changing up her schedule quite a bit to accommodate an odd time for an MRI. 

MAHA moms are looking for changes to healthier food options and Steak n' Shake is among the first to change up their recipe for french fries.

Dave is back after spending time with his wife in her final days and grieving her loss. We're so happy to have him back but also wanting to give him the time and space to share with us once he's ready.

It's hard to believe that the first quarter of 2025 is almost done! 

Romans 8 reminds us that nothing can separate us away from the love of Christ. Carmen reminded us that sometimes, what does keep us away from the Lord, is ourselves. 

Prayer can help us with putting the ways that we condemn ourselves away. 

And Jonathan Poklluda's new book, Your Story Has A Villain, will help you with the tools to put the weapons of the enemy away. We shared a few analogies from Jonathan on that subject as well. 

Bill and Jayar need to put the bread away. Carmen's birthday was yesterday and we celebrated with her favorite sourdough bread. But there was some leftover and the guys were starting to worry about how much they were eating this morning. Carmen also shared how the family dinner celebration went. 

Dave has been away grieving the loss of his wife, Emilie. But, we are excited to have him back on Monday.
