Recipients of the Share the Love of Nature with Nga Manu campaign invites the community the help deserving families experience the wonders of nature at Nga Manu.

The campaign encourages people to donate day passes, annual Friends of Ngā Manu memberships (or a monetary donation) for families who might not otherwise have the opportunity to visit the reserve. These donations allow families to enjoy a memorable day exploring native wildlife, feeding eels, meeting rare reptiles, and venturing into ancient lowland forest trails.

The recipients of the campaign are Kāpiti Women's Centre and Family Heart Services. The Kāpiti Women’s Centre offers crucial support through counselling, workshops, and programs that foster resilience and well-being and is a safe haven and empowering space for women in our community. Family Heart Services are dedicated to supporting families facing hardship and provides essential resources, advocacy, and emotional support to ensure no family feels alone.

Love Grace Handbag appeal is open now until the 8th of March. Love Grace empowers victims of domestic abuse in honour of Grace Millane, who was murdered in NZ in December 2018. Grace loved a handbag, and in her name, the appeal collects new or gently used handbags and fills them with useful items for women in need.

Songbook presents Kieran Rayner, UK-based New Zealand baritone, recently seen starring in Days Bay Opera’s Il Pirata, with Rose Aldridge, mezzo-soprano, an outstanding senior student at the New Zealand School of Music, and Catherine Norton, piano. This wide-ranging programme of German and English songs includes the music of Schubert, Clara Schumann, Brahms, Alma Mahler, Finzi, Vaughan Williams, and NZ composer Andrew Baldwin.
