Pat and Drew headed to Rec Philly to meet with the young lords in Podcast and Chill and talk that truly patriotic shit. The young lords are quite a bit younger than the patriots so the patriots take the opportunity to teach the youth a thing or two they won't learn in school (probably because its strictly based in opinion and not on actual fact... but that's the most patriotic shit a person can do). This episode was a lot of fun so we figured we'd share the love!

Salute to the patriots! This week we record from Pat’s car and the city of Brotherly Love for the Most Patriotic Field Trip in the History of America Ever! The patriots are joined by their friend Phil Caruso for a field trip to Philadelphia for an on location podcast and appearance on the Podcast and Chill Show! The boys embark on this journey with a joyful spirit in their hearts and an overambitious agenda that proved completely undoable (see: Pat’s narration), but fun was had and that patriotic shit was talked! In the car on the way to Philadelphia the patriots discuss:

- Why they think there are lot more people taking shits as a form of spite these days

- Roseanne getting her dumb ass cancelled with a racist tweet and how Trump is normalizing repulsive human behavior

- The difference between 1,500 “missing” kids from the border and 700 other kids who we know where they are but we are holding them in camps.

- Kim Kardashian went to the White House to talk about prison reform. The only thing more stupid than that would be if Kim Kardashian going to the White House to talk about prison reform.

- Drew gets distracted by a Chick-Fil-A and talks about how much he loves it. Can we have our Chick-Fil-A sponsorship now?

- We get into how much we love ye. If you don’t like it you’re going to find this pretty obnoxious.. and you’re also wrong because ye is AMAZING. This leads into a discussion of how people are afraid to talk about their feelings and how Kanye can help you open up

Then we head to Independence National Historic Park right next to the Liberty Bell where we met with @warlock.ed and @duffnobeer from Podcast and Chill. Here the patriots talk about why they need their beards before discussing what freedom means to them.

Drew’s Racist Corner: A Southwest Airlines passenger (white woman) was asked to show proof that her child (black child) was actually her’s, a black 18 year old man is getting locked up for 5 years for stealing a pair of shoes with no prior record, the NFL’s new stance on sitting for the National Anthem (and Pat talks about how much he hates football but loves snack tables).

This throws Drew into a description of how black people always have the same food platters at every event and why you should never jump in on the Uno table. Pat discusses how much white people love drinking games. Then, Drew tells us about the one time he partied in North Philly. Apparently, it got pretty weird.

Then we went to Rec Philly and recorded an episode of the Podcast and Chill show and eat cheesesteaks. The mics fire back on during the drive home to finish up the episode. Here’s the rundown from the ride home:

- A family who’s father was killed by the police was awarded 4 cents in an actual court of law

- More dumb trump shit: He says the Mueller probe has cost too much money but spent more tax payer dollars on his person trips to Mar-a-Lago. He was also called a “toddler” by a mother of a student killed in the Santa Fe shooting.

- A discussion of gun culture and personal identity.

- The patriots like Philly… but they hate it. They also contemplate what the Liberty Bell means historically… because they don’t know… because they’re Americans.

- Drew needs to learn the proper way to order a proper cheesesteak and the possible underground Pat’s/Geno’s conspiracy.

- The difference between Philadelphia and New York.

- Trent Reznor making tickets to his new tour only available at the venues of the shows. How people are starting to want things to be organic again. Then we talk about how dope it is when influence and celebrity is used for good - Flatbush Zombies got fans to bring truckloads of water for Flint.

Here’s your episode run down:

Pusha T’s “Daytona” is the perfect album and the impending Kanye flood is shaping up to be the flood that makes George Bush care about black people

Drew talks about finally exposing his parents to his stand up career and they talk about that magical moment when something you are pursuing really becomes your life.

This leads into a discussion of how everyone wants to be an artist in today’s culture. However, not everyone is an artist with a unique point of view… and that’s okay. You need to work. Respect the art damnit.

There was a bus crash on route 80 a couple of weeks ago because the driver missed the exit and tried to U-turn on ROUTE 80 to get back to the exit. We do the only thing you can do at this news and get outraged and exacerbated.

There was another school shooting keeping the 2018 average steady at one per week. Seriously think about this. We need gun control now. If you own guns, be more responsible and make sure they stay out of the hands of your children. These shootings are happening in middle class communities. How do we get to the bottom of what’s going on in the culture of high school? What’s causing these kids to loose their minds? That’s what needs to change.

Overly PC morons are now saying that you need to ask for a baby’s permission before you change their diaper. We unpack the possible psychology behind this and are very confused as to why this would ever be needed. Then, we listen to a Fox News interview about this and, for once, are on the side of Fox News.

This transitions into a discussion on how neoliberalism is overly PC and ridiculous. Sometimes someone needs to shut down the PC train because it’s getting to a point of being completely unsustainable.

Morgan Freeman is in trouble and the “Me Too” movement is really reaching at this point. It’s on camera… it’s not that bad. We understand you want money and fame, but c’mon girl. There are some things you can handle outside of the public eye if something made you uncomfortable. They discuss if all of this is a ploy by some people to get their 15 minutes and platform for public influence. There’s a difference between Bill Cosby and Morgan Freeman.

Maybe what we need is to start listening to each other and not tell everyone they’re wrong, but some people are.

Speaking of dumb, Rachel Dolezal got arrested for welfare fraud. We hope this gets her outta here for a long, long time. Go ahead and tell everyone in prison that you’re black… see how that goes.

Van Lathan had a comedian (Josh Denny) on who made a tweet about how Straight White Man is becoming the new n-word. White men, stop saying you’re persecuted now. Don’t defend yourself when you get caught making an impulsive point and admit you’re wrong. We also give a lot of respect to Van. You’re doing great things out here.

Donald Trump can’t block anyone on Twitter anymore. Go ahead people! Tell the man what you think with impunity now. You’re not above the law or the First Amendment, Donald. Also, people took over a pro-Trump reddit feed with Donald Glover memes and it was heartwarming.

Trump lost his participation award for North Korea progress and is anyone surprised?

Harvey Weinstein turned himself in and it was anti-climactic. This is an example of money making everything easier.

Drew’s Racist Corner: Minnesota student beats a black teacher and will get off with no charges which turns into a discussion of how racism is taught and passed down through generations

This leads into a discussion on how being in a bad relationship will make you act crazy. Why do people treat each other like shit? That’s lame. Don’t do that to people.

We talk about modern dating and how most dudes are acting like scumbags. Don’t do that dudes. We talk about how gross Beat King is and the patriots discuss their personal experiences and opinions in regards to strip clubs and pornography. Then we wrap up the show by talking about how young people don’t know shit. It's a full blown patriotic masterpiece of a podcast masterclass. Salute to the real patriots out there! Your boys are back this week in the Liberty Lounge to bring you another week of HOT TAKES on current events and culture. On this week's episode Drew shows Pat the Childish Gambino "This is America" for the first time and they discuss why conforming to norms is pretty fucking lame. You know we talk about Kanye since we haven't gotten our say in yet - we discuss the fallacy and inherent hypocritical nature of "free thought" and how people use it to make excuses for their shitty behavior. We break down the week in saying too much for the Crypt Keeper's Pet Rat (Rudy Guiliani), trump sounding like he had a stroke in front of the NRA convention, Ben Carson's proposed plan to TRIPLE rent for the poorest Americans (I guess it's hard to really see what you're looking at when you never open your eyes all the way), and why no matter what happens in Georgia you're getting a fucking gun (whether you want one or not!!!). The patriots talk about how we want to hang out with Paul Ryan now that he's acting like Jay-Z (don't flip out before listening, we explain it in the episode). Then we spend a long time discussing the Rachel Divide and how she comes off as even more pathetic and hate-able than she ever has before. Then we round it out like true patriotic Americans and determine which song is the Basic White Girl equivalent to "Back That Ass Up" for black people.
