  • Dr. M. L., Mr. K., Cool TLC discuss, mass killings, selfish NRA & D.I.N.K. s
Johnny Depp won his case against his ex wife Amber Heard and he gets $15 million According to the Texas Tribune: Narratives, and blame, shift again as dysfunction engulfs shooting probeThe Texas Department of Public Safety said a local police chief had stopped cooperating. It also walked back a statement that a teacher had propped open a door used by the shooter to enter the school. The official response to the mass shooting at an Uvalde elementary school — a response already marred by shifting narratives, finger-pointing and a general lack of timely and accurate information — took a further turn toward dysfunction on Tuesday. he Texas Department of Public Safety said Uvalde school district’s police chief Pete Arredondo, who made the decision to wait for more resources rather than confront the gunman sooner, has stopped cooperating with state investigators and had not responded to requests for information for over two days.  The NRA  Annual convention in TX must go on... even after a massacre! How much more how many more are dancing? What's a DINK? It's an acronym that stands for "dual income, no kids," and is widely interpreted as two people living together as partners with no children of their own (and no plans to have kids) who are thriving in their careers and personal lives. Are they selfish or smart?

  • Dr. Mother, Mr. Kennedy & Cool TLC share thoughts, passion on current events
From: npr JACLYN DIAZ May 27, 2022 2 mass shootings — 1,700 miles apart but bound by startling similarities In the span of less than two weeks, an elementary school and a grocery store more than 1,700 miles apart were shattered by gun violence. Uvalde, Texas, and Buffalo, N.Y., now both share the tragic loss of friends and family. These two tragedies happened on separate ends of the country and yet, both share similarities: how the violence was carried out, certain aspects of the suspects, and the ease in which the weapons were accessed. It's unclear as of now what the specific motive was in the Uvalde, Texas, shooter's mind. But the gunman responsible for the attack that killed 10 members of the Black community of Buffalo apparentl  and, that he was motivated by white supremacist ideology. Though the motivations in these particular cases likely differ, the suspects of these shootings, and others like it, have a lot in common, according to James Densley and Jillian Peterson, co-founders of The Violence Project. Their research organization studies gun violence, mass shootings and violent extremism."Usually what's motivating these shootings is a element of self-hatred, hopelessness, despair, anger, that's turned outward to the world," said Densley, who is also a sociologist.

  • A Mass killing in TX 21 dead 17 injured by a coward
The gunman who massacred 19 children and two teachers at an elementary school in Texas had warned in online messages minutes before the attack that he had shot his grandmother and was going to shoot up a school, the governor said Wednesday.  An 18 yo, used an AR-15-style semi-automatic rifle in the bloodshed Tuesday at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde that ended with police storming a classroom and killing him. He had legally bought two such rifles just days before, soon after his birthday.  Where do we start? Gun Control laws? Mental Health? Fractuerd families?

Let her go back where she came from if she doesn’t like it here.” Abrams, who served in the Georgia House of Representatives for a decade, moved to Georgia in high school and has lived there for most of her life. More h. e double hockeys Has broke loose.  No Baby formula! The formula shortage has exposed an inflexible industry dominated by just three to four large players that own a majority of formula production in the United States. There's little wiggle room when one plant abruptly shuts down, as Abbott Nutrition's plant in Sturgis, Michigan, did in February after a bacterial contamination. By May, stores were reporting as much as 40% of baby formula products were out of stock, exacerbated by ongoing supply chain slowdowns and formula product recalls.Abbott, Reckett Benkiser and Nestle produce the United States' top five formula brands — Enfamil, Similac, Gerber, PediaSure and Isomil — according to market research firm Euromonitor International. The Associated Press reports that in an interview with Hugh Hewitt last October, Walker said that he’d “started a program called Patriot Support” about “15 years ago.” He told Savannah TV station WTGS in February: “People need to know I started a military program, a military program that treats (thousands) of soldiers a year.” Leading Georgia Senate candidate and NFL legend Herschel Walker has a shady-as-hell past, but so far none of it has made a damn bit of difference to GOP voters. The latest piece in his convoluted narrative is his affiliation with a veterans program that he’s bragged about doing work with—a program with its own shady-as-hell history.

  • Mass shooter in Buffalo, Replacement theory, SCOTUS out of control, SI swimsuit
Replacement theory, once confined to the digital fever swamps of Reddit message boards and semi-obscure white nationalist sites, has gone mainstream. In sometimes more muted forms, the fear it crystallizes — of a future America in which white people are no longer the numerical majority — has become a potent force in conservative media and politics, where the theory has been borrowed and remixed to attract audiences, retweets and small-dollar donations. At the extremes of American life, replacement theory — the notion that Western elites, sometimes manipulated by Jews, want to “replace” and disempower white Americans — has become an engine of racist terror, helping inspire a wave of mass shootings in recent years and fueling the 2017 right-wing rally in Charlottesville, Va. • Dr. ML & Mr. Kennedy chop it on equal work, mass shootings, gambling in CA
Women have made history in the ongoing movement for equity in sports. In Long Island, NY, a 15-year-old girl was the first female varsity football player to score a touchdown in a high school football game. And, after years of battling for equality, the US Women's Soccer Team got the same contract as the men, paving the way for pay equity and making it clear that their success at the highest levels of competition has earned them the right to be treated fairly. Dane Lewis, Our Community Media  A gunman in Buffalo, N.Y., mounted a camera to his helmet and livestreamed on Twitch as he killed 10 people and injured three more at a grocery store in what the authorities said was a racist attack. In a manifesto posted online, Payton S. Gendron, the 18-year-old whom the authorities identified as the gunman, wrote that he had been inspired by the Christchurch gunman and others. Mass shootings — and live broadcasts — raise questions about the role and responsibility of social media sites in allowing violent and hateful content to proliferate. Many of the gunmen in the shootings have written that they developed their racist and antisemitic beliefs trawling online forums like Reddit and 4chan, and were spurred on by watching other gunmen stream their attacks live. Will sports betting in CA help the homeless? Is this a slap in the face, a body slam against Native Americans that  CA has a pac with?

Navigating Uncertainty: An A-Z Guide For Well-Being. Teens are struggling with mental health amid the isolation and trauma caused by the pandemic, according to survey data published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The survey, conducted in the first six months of 2021, found four in 10 adolescents said they feel “persistently sad or hopeless,” and one in five said they have contemplated suicide. “These data echo a cry for help,” said Debra Houry, a deputy director at the CDC. What an ideal time to discuss being not okay. The World Health Organization estimates that the US loses $1 trillion in productivity annually due to mental health issues in the workplace. And another statistic is that disengaged employees cost the economy $550 billion annually. That is staggering! What can be done about this?

  • 2x Heart Transplant Patient, Steven G. Taibbi on his journey in GRATEFUL GUILT
Two Time Heart Transplant Patient, Steven G. Taibbi, In a rare moment of extended family bonding, Steven Taibbi (author of Grateful Guilt: Living in the Shadow of My Heart) - a two time heart donor recipient - just met with the family of the recent donor.  The donor, David Jason Jocobo, a healthy 36 year old man, suffered a brain aneurysm and collapsed in front of the family, dying just three days later. A multiple organ donor, he has now saved many lives, including that of Mr Taibbi. The family, that did not originally respond to the thank you from Mr. Taibbi, would later contact him when they were ready. The donors mother expressed their desire to meet him in a note. Steven arrived with a stethoscope in hand, should they wish to listen to the heart of their son and father beating in Steven's chest.  All of the women in the family (mother, sister, daughter, ex-wife and aunt) took turns listening, while the male members (father and sons) opted not to listen. They informed Steven that night, they consider him family now. Statistically, only 3% of donor families answer any correspondence, let alone meet the recipient and it sometimes does not go well. However, in this case the donor's mother expressed her joy that her son's life helped not only save Steven's life, but several others as a multiple organ donor.
