  • Celebrate! Its OUR ANNIVERSARY 35 years strong... Could/Would U last?
Dr. Mother Love & Mr. Kennedy share their story of love, lost, redemption and growing as they celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary. So many adversaries saying it would not last.  A new study suggests the institution of marriage has changed, reflecting women’s educational attainment, earnings potential, and involvement in the workforce.  The commitment of women to jobs and careers has reduced, or eliminated  economic disparities between men and women. This has changed the primary function of marriage so that now marriage is a vehicle to provide a long-term stable home for children. Accordingly, investments in children have become a driving force in preserving the institution of matrimony, say researchers. “In a gender-specialized economy, where men and women are playing very different productive roles, you need the long-term commitment to protect the vulnerable party, who in this case is the woman,” explained Lundberg. “But when women’s educational attainment increased and surpassed that of men, and women became more committed to jobs and careers, the kind of economic disparity that supported a division of labor in the household eroded.”

  • Dr. Mother Love & Mr. Kennedy's comments on The MSD Guard arrest , Gun Violence
Scot Peterson, the former Broward Sheriff’s deputy responsible for protecting Marjory Stoneman Douglas High in Parkland, has been criminally charged for failing to confront a gunman who methodically shot and killed 17 students and staffers, state authorities said Tuesday. In a highly unusual case, the retired 56-year-old deputy was arrested Tuesday on 11 charges — including child neglect, culpable negligence, and perjury — for his role in the massacre that shocked the United States, galvanized gun-control activism and led to changes in Florida’s law.  Peterson, who has long insisted he acted properly, faces nearly 100 years in prison if convicted. As a school resource officer trained to engage an active shooter immediately, Peterson “was responsible for the welfare and safety” of the students and “failed to make a reasonable effort” to protect them, according to an arrest warrant.

  • MJ Duffy, Author of The Zankli Chronicle, LOST LOVE Book one
    M. J. Duffy is a gifted author of paranormal romance. She lives in Los Angeles surrounded by incredibly supportive family and friends. After graduating from UCLA, she began working in marketing and spent many years as a career and personal growth coach and educator. Writing has always been her passion, and her most treasured moments are spent spinning tales of love, sexual fulfillment, and self-actualization for her readers. My earliest memories are of trying to read and failing dismally. Dyslexia, characterized by a difficulty in understanding written languages, was unknown and undiagnosed in the 1950’s. So much of my childhood was spent hiding the fact that I could not read. Letters just did not fall into place for me. Ashamed, I was a child recluse, spending most of my time watching television. By my teens, I was convinced that reading would always allude me – until halleluiah – at fourteen, I discovered Gone With The Wind.I was enthralled by the book, by the magic of the words and the vivid pictures they painted on the walls of my mind. I could see and hear Scarlett, Rhett, Mammy, and the red earth of Tara. From that day to this, I have had a love affaire with storytelling and books. http://mjduffy.com

  • Phyllis P. McNeal, Founder Straight Talk for Social Justice
Since 2000, Straight Talk Program, Inc. has expanded to include intervention and mentoring services. The intervention service requires a referral for possible counseling, family plan, court appearance plan, and individual action plans. The mentoring program accepts referrals for one-on- one mentoring for those seeking coaching in accomplishing their personal and professional goals. McNeal's home life was violent—in today's terminology, dysfunctional. Having elder siblings did nothing to protect her: they had issues (dragons) of their own. So she ran, repeatedly, trying to escape the abusive environment only to be caught and returned. Gratefully, her cyclic pattern caught the attention of a therapist who earned her trust. Her therapist, Saundra C. Lang, LCSW, taught her about making choices based on their potential outcomes and empowered her with a sense of self-worth that encouraged her to make some bold, far-beyond-her-years decisions. Ms. Lang became her first "guardian angel."

  • Ms. Marie Phason, A Mother's story of devastating loss, and the power to forgive
On June 9, 1993, Ollie Marie Phason received a devastating phone call that would change the course of her life. Her 6-year-old son, Broderick Bell Jr., had been shot during a drive-by shooting. The incident galvanized the Mile High City amid a surge of violent gang activity in the early 1990s, and Broderick’s image was used as the face of Denver’s notorious “Summer of Violence,” a time marked by the senseless killing and injury of dozens of innocent people.“I thought he was going to die, and I didn’t want to see him that way; I wanted to remember him happy, with his karate uniform on,” she said. She sat in the waiting room and watched local news reports of the drive-by with images of her smiling son. People arrived at the hospital in droves to show support for the family. “I fell on my face and screamed out to God, asking him to save Broderick. I wanted to see a living God.” In the months preceding the Summer of Violence, Denver residents were terrorized by random drive-by shootings. It took the images of 6-year-old Broderick on life support to evoke a national response. After the shooting, Denver’s former Mayor Wellington Webb held a press conference outside Phason’s home, declaring, “Enough is enough!” Webb announced a crackdown on gangs and lobbied for stricter gun control laws.

  • Dr. Mother Love & Nicholas Kelly, Dietician on Regular vs Sports Nutrition
if Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus, then Athletes are from a completely different solar system. Men and women “eat”, athletes “fuel and nourish”…But like a fine sports car, not just any run of the mill gasoline will do. With such an abundance of online information covering the many areas of fitness and nutrition, there appears to be a growing misconception as to the relevance of certain dietary and supplemental practices, with people utilizing methods that are completely unnecessary for non-athletes.
