  • @ 2 Mother Love & Mr. Kennedy on current events, @ 3 Natasha Middleton, PBDT
on Sunday, "Westworld" and "Saturday Night Live" lead the 2017 nominations with 22 nods apiece. It’s the most nominations the long-running NBC late-night sketch show has ever received in a single season. "SNL" also broke its own record for the most nominations for any program with 231 total. Carrie Fisher received a posthumous nomination for guest actress in a comedy series for Amazon's "Catastrophe . "The television academy, long criticized for "cut and paste" lists of repeats, this year cast its collective gaze wide. Representing two very different sides of the TV spectrum, HBO’s “Westworld” and NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” tied for most recognized show, with 22 nominations each; with 231 nominations since its 1975 debut, "SNL" broke its own record as the most Emmy-nominated show ever. Two new shows, Netflix’s breakout hit “Stranger Things” and FX’s “Feud: Bette and Joan,” tied for second, with 18 nominations each, and HBO’s “Veep” followed close behind with 17. • @ 2 Chante Bernard, Cakes By Chante @ 3 ML& Mr. Kennedy on world flooding & more
Chante Bernard grew up watching her grandmother cook delicious meals and bake amazing desserts and biscuits from scratch for her family of 16 children and many grandchildren, so it wasn’t surprising that she would develop an affinity for baking at 12 years old.  Chante comes from a family of many great cooks and bakers and calls herself a California girl with Southern roots because her dad was born in Natchez, Mississippi, and mom in Augusta, Georgia.  Coming from a big family, her dad entertained constantly.  One year, he was planning his big “to do” and she told him I’ll bake the cakes for the party and the rest is history. From a very young age, she knew baking was her passion, but did it for fun; not considering it could one day become her career.  It wasn’t until she earned her BA Degree in Communication that Cakes By Chante was born.  She loves creating new recipes, and is known for making the best Red Velvet Cake in town, and a luscious Lemon Raspberry Cake that will melt in your mouth. When Chante is not baking, she enjoys spending time with her family.  She has also dedicated most of her career to working for a non-profit child care resource and referral agency.  www.cakesbychante.com   We know Houston is horrible terrible so was/is NOLA, Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Irene, Matthew, Super Storm Sandy and others. How will this affect the healthcare system and what can we do to help?

He was scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 5 and faced a maximum of six months in jail.“Sheriff Joe Arpaio is now 85 years old, and after more than 50 years of admirable service to our nation, he is [a] worthy candidate for a presidential pardon,” a statement issued by the White House said. There was immediate reaction from some of those who have accused the aging lawman of brutality and racism.
