Fasten your seatbelts! Today’s big movie of the week is the fantastical action comedy Borderlands, directed by Eli Roth. The film boasts big names such as Cate Blanchett, Jack Black (voice), and Kevin Hart. Based on a video game, this movie follows a motley crew of characters on an adventure through distant lands in search of treasures. It Ends With Us, directed by Justin Baldoni, also hits theaters this week. The film stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni himself and is based on a popular book by author Colleen Hoover.

In streaming, Apple TV+ debuts its newest movie, The Instigators, about a ragtag group of criminals aiming for a big prize, starring Matt Damon and Casey Affleck. MAX released its newest true crime docu-series, Taken Together: Who Killed Lyric and Elizabeth? The series breaks down the heartbreaking details of "the case that haunts the Midwest," diving into the haunting 2012 double abduction of two cousins, 10-year-old Lyric Cook-Morrissey and 8-year-old Elizabeth Collins, in Evansdale, Iowa.
