In this episode of The MumSafe Movement Podcast Jen talks to Jana Pittman. Jana is a two times world champion and four times Commonwealth champion in the sport of athletics,
When continual injuries hampered her athletic career which were likely related to her first birth experience she swapped the track for the ice, joining the Australian women's bobsled team and becoming the first woman to represent Australia in both a Summer (2000, 2004) and Winter (2014) Olympic Games.
Off the track, Jana completed a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, Masters of Reproductive Medicine and is completing her PhD in Obstetrics. Jana is the proud mum of her six children and also recently published her second book ‘Enough’
In 2021, Jana was a participant in the gruelling television show SAS Australia on Channel 7. She made it to the last day of the course and was the final female standing among the 18 celebrity recruits, despite having given birth only five and a half months previously.
Jen and Jana cover a lot in this episode from what it was like to be an elite athlete, give birth and return to elite competition and her passion for women’s health, bridging the gaps between industries and ensuring every woman is fully informed and empowered in their body and choices.

Anuschka specialises in educating and empowering women through Movement and Mindset to ‘Feel Vibrant!’. Specifically working with women who want help to positively cope with the challenges and demands of daily life at every stage of life.
Since 2012 Anuschka has been helping individuals and groups through health and fitness coaching to make postive changes to their lives.
Anuschka gave birth to her 2 children in her early 40’s and experienced a collision of post natal and peri-menopausal life. This experience is one of the drivers for her focus and dedication to be part of the movement of health and fitness professionals that are focussing specifically on women's health and fitness through all the stages of a woman's life.
Annuscka is one of the MumSafe quiet achievers who has very limited time each week to work on and in her business. I wanted to delve into her journey because she is a true example of how slow and steady wins the race and I truly believe that when she chooses to go full throttle within her business that because her foundations run so deep she will absolutely fly.
