Rogue has finally arrived, sugah dumplings, and she has two moms. Two terrible, terrible moms. Professor Xavier would be a better parent, but not by a lot, because he still sucks in this episode. Rogue has to figure things out for herself, as usual. The results are still pretty bad-ass even though she's just a kid.

Enter Kitty Pryde and her valley girl accent on the second episode of X-Men: Evolution. Ryan and Maddy love Kitty even if she has, like, a totally tubular speech pattern. In this episode, Jean Grey and Xavier take the Blackbird to Illinois to recruit Kitty, but they soon get intercepted by teen bad boy Avalanche. Meanwhile, Cyclops and Nightcrawler are hot for teacher Wolverine... who is hot for Sabretooth, as usual.

It finally happened... We watched X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The 2009 exploration of Wolverine's origins disappointed us at the time, and it disappoints us so much more in 2020. With Todd Harper's help, Ryan and Maddy tear apart this notoriously bad movie, which is impressive only in the sense that it manages to offend just about everybody.

Maddy and Ryan finally close the book on X-Men: The Animated Series with the second half of the show's two-part crossover with Spider-Man The Animated Series. It's a very entertaining send-off. Logan and Beast finally tell everyone they're dating, Spider-Man learns the importance of friendship (or something?) and Hobgoblin uses a CD-ROM.

Back in September 1995, the Spider-Man animated series did a crossover with X-Men: The Animated Series, starting with Spider-Man learning he's mutating and then going to Professor Xavier for help. Unfortunately, instead of just calling Xavier on the phone, Spider-Man breaks into the X-Mansion, and for some reason he's surprised that the X-Men attack him. Good news, though. This episode's really gay. It's also a two-parter, so we'll be back next week with our thoughts on the second half.

Magneto was... right?! We knew that, but we didn't expect X-Men: The Animated Series to tell us that. In the show's stirring series finale, Professor Xavier gets attacked on live television by known mutant hater Henry Gyrich, and Magneto rallies mutants to fight back against the system that has been trying to kill them. When the laws are unjust, you shouldn't follow them. This is a political episode because, well, it has to be.
