Nate talks with Franklin standout and Ithaca College alumna, Jordan Beers. They look back on her stellar career at FCS including finishing 2nd on the all-time basketball scoring list in Section IV with 2,442 points. Jordan tells us about her career at IC, how she has battled with ankle injuries and her passion for the physical therapy program.

Nate sits down with Unadilla Valley Superintendent Bob Mackey. He has been heavily involved with a local study on declining enrollment and how it will affect high school sports in the near future. He discusses the possibility of merging the MAC, Tri-Valley and Delaware Leagues and how that might be an option to keep small school sports alive. Bob talks about what role school budgets, state aid and COVID-19 will play in upcoming years as well. 

Nate catches up with Schenevus alumna Alexis Hults. She is a 2019 grad who now plays soccer at Buffalo State. She tells us about her battle with compartment syndrome and how she is fighting for a return to the pitch. They look back at her standout days at SCS with soccer and softball. Lex also gives us some excellent restaurant recommendations thanks to her family operating some delicious local hotspots.

Nate talks with Bainbridge-Guilford grad and current St. Bonaventure Women’s Basketball Coach, Jesse Fleming. They look back on his journey from being an undergrad team manager to taking the head coach position at his D1 alma mater. They discuss S4 players like Mariah Ruff, Miranda Drummond and Courtney Mattingly who have impacted the Bonnies program. Jesse also talks about his relationship with former St. Bona Coach Jim Crowley, who is a Windsor native.

Nate chats with Sidney alumna Hannah Wood. She is a 2014 grad and a 4-sport athlete for the Warriors. Hannah had the most success in field hockey as she became Sidney's all-time leading goal scorer. She continued on to have a decorated career at William Smith, scoring 95 career goals and becoming a 3-time All-American. They also talk about her life after college including her walk across America trip and why she was raising funds in remembrance of someone very special to her.

Nate connects with Edmeston alumna Catherine Johnson. She is a 2017 grad and now plays softball at SUNY Brockport. She spent 2 years playing at Millersville University (D2) as well. They look back on her amazing high school career as a pitcher which included 1,050 strikeouts. She tells us about the epic sectional final match-ups against Deposit and explains why she decided to transfer to Brockport. 

Nate is joined by SUNY Delhi Men’s Basketball Coach and Unadilla Valley grad, Zack Thomsen. They discuss the Broncos success since his arrival and the transition process to becoming an official NCAA D3 program. Zack has brought in a lot of local talent for his teams and gives us some recruiting advice for high school athletes. They also look back on his time at UV and his memories of playing for Coach Matt Osborne. 

Nate catches up with long time Afton Softball Coach Cindy Bostelman. They discuss her amazing 31 year career at ACS. She has won 5 state championships and had a streak of 16 straight Section IV titles. The Knights have 14 trips to the state final under Bos as well. They talk about her team trips to Disney and look back at legendary area players that she has seen over the years.

Nate interviews legendary local basketball coach Bob Zeh. He is currently at the helm of the Unatego Girls Varsity program. Bob has been coaching for 55 years and takes us back through his coaching resume. They discuss some of his favorite teams, players, games, memories and more. Hear how a small town guy from Jefferson turned into one of the best coaches in Section IV history.

Nate chats with Norwich sports guru Meagan Schulz. She has been covering local sports for 5 years. They discuss the heartbreaking end of the season for the NHS girls basketball team. They also talk about local wrestling and what might happen to the Norwich Gus Macker this summer. Meagan tells us about her time working for the NBA's Memphis Grizzlies including a hilarious Gregg Popovich story.
