The Independent Electoral Commission is holding a press briefing on the objections submitted on the candidate lists. The deadline for submissions was yesterday. One of the candidates that will be awaiting their fate will be former President, Jacob Zuma who has already served two terms in Parliament.

Police in KwaZulu-Natal are investigating murder after two bodyguards attached to the City of uMhlathuze mayor and manager exchanged gunfire. We understand that there were rumours within the corridors of the municipality that the two were not on good terms. Both men are dead after shooting at one another.
