Judge Ratha Mokgoatlheng has ordered the state to furnish defence counsels in the Senzo Meyiwa trial with all copies of the amended statements before a trial-within-a trial can commence. Mokgoatlheng ruled that a trial-within-a-trial be held. It will challenge the admissibility of the alleged confessions and warning statements of the accused. As the Israeli-Palestine conflict continues to escalate. The Department of International Relations and Cooperation has confirmed that two South African nationals have died in this ongoing conflict. On the other hand, the ruling African National Congress is in talks with the UN to look at critical humanitarian aid support and they are calling for unconditional opening of the humanitarian corridors for civilians caught in the conflict.

Members of Parliament's Standing Committee on Public Accounts say they are happy to hear that suitable land has been found to temporarily relocate residents who are living on the Cape Town central railway line.
