Six more countries have become members of the BRICS block. President Cyril Ramaphosa announced the expansion earlier today. Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the UAE, Argentina and Ethiopia will be official members from January 2024. This brings the number of countries who are a part of this group to three. What do all these countries bring to BRICS economically? Is this the right decision? We're now joined by Professor Anil Sooklal, DIRCO's Deputy Director General for Asia and Middle East, BRICS and G20. He was in the committee that made the decision on which countries would be included in the BRICS expansion.

Mediclinic has launched an independent audit into allegations of patient bill manipulation to save the hospital group money.
