October 21, 2020Renowned signer Chicco Twala reacts to new developments on Meyiwa caseThe family of slain soccer star Senzo Meyiwa has expressed frustration at what they term "claims" meant to derail the investigations into his death. The family says they have yet to be informed by police of a breakthrough in the case. According to a report by News24 the police team investigating the murder has now identified a new suspect and has found the firearm that was allegedly used to kill the former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper. Meyiwa was was shot and killed at a party on the East Rand in 2014 at the home of musician Kelly Khumalo who was his girlfriend. Reports also suggest that a prisoner who may be linked to Meyiwa's murder is currently in jail for the murder of a taxi boss and the gun used in both murders was found at the Cleveland Police Station.
