This story is about a woman who is not aging well. Lane wants the company of a beautiful woman to ease the sting of turning 40. But, before Lane can enjoy the second act of her life, she must confront old wounds she thought had healed.

In this fifth episode, Chrissy interviews (Ash and Marcus) A.M. Kusi, co-authors of several romance novels, including Brave Love. Chrissy starts with Would You Rather questions related to nature, love, and books, and then she launches into A.M. Kusi's romance novel, Brave Love.

This story is about Pippa Davis, a bookstore owner, trying to manage her epilepsy, dedicated to giving back all she can to make the world a better place. And Navy SEAL Mason Wright,  who struggles with priorities, including with his daughter.  When Mason starts taking his and Pippa's intimacy seriously, he accidentally fails his responsibility to his kid and pulls away, pained by his behavior. Can two perfectly matched people find the courage to fall in love?

Throughout the episode, Ash, Marcus, and Chrissy discuss the process of crafting characters, digging into bigger issues like trauma, police brutality, traumatic events, and other controversial issues, Ash and Marcus' love story, and the research process. In this fourth episode, Chrissy interviews Damyanti Biwas, author of You Beneath Your Skin.  Chrissy starts with Would You Rather questions related to books and nature, and then she launches into Damyanti's crime fiction novel, You Beneath Your Skin.

You Beneath Your Skin is about a single mother, raising her autistic teenage son in New Delhi, that suffers an acid attack amongst a background of serial killings.  All of the proceeds go to Project Why and Stop Acid Attacks. 

Throughout the episode, Damyanti and Chrissy discuss how to support those who've experienced acid attacks, the purpose of writing, questioning why people do what they do,  discussing characters, and the inspiration behind her novel.

This story is about Kristen, a middle school teacher, a great friend, and an amazing soulmate. She has everything going for her but one thing she cannot seem to get right is stopping her dreams from coming true. Not only does her dreams come true, but also never with the same people from her dreams. Guilt floods her each time because she feels responsible when something bad happens. Worry fills her because she never knows whom to warn until it is too late. Would you be an understanding friend or would you blame her if something she dreamt about happened to you?

Throughout the episode, Shyquana and Chrissy discuss dreams, writing letters, poetry, and writing processes. Near the end, Shyquana reads one of the dreams from her novel. Be sure to check out A Knot On My Dreams, or other work by Shyquana, such as Girl, Yes! and her devotionals and journals.

Shannon's second novel, this story is about Allie Mason, who has a nearly perfect life until one night, she's stripped of it all. Allie is attacked in her home, badly beaten and raped—with no memory of the traumatizing events that took place that night. As Allie works to uncover the truth, she's left with more questions than answers—and forced to make an unimaginable decision.
