You have probably heard the quote "easy choices, hard life. Hard choices, easy life"

Reality is, the decisions that seem easy in the moment

End up creating even more work for you down the line

(Think about the time in college you skipped doing your assignment to go out with your mates...

and then had to pull an all nighter a few days later to get it done before the deadline)

You make decisions every single day, and chances are a lot of them are actually working against you

But by doing this ONE thing, before taking any actions,

You can make sure you're moving in the right direction towards your goals.

One of the most challenging parts of being a leader is giving feedback/criticism to the people around you.

Despite your best intentions, they often end up in arguments, name-calling matches, and weaken the relationship between you and the person you were trying to help.

If you hate these conversations, or feel they never work out the way you want - don't worry, you're not alone! But don't worry....

The good news is, with a couple of simple tweaks in how you deliver the message, these conversations can turn from trauma (for you and the other person) into transformation.

And a mindset so many high achievers have embodied on their way to success

You can use it too.

One of the biggest reasons people fail nowadays is actually pretty straight forward

They take the wrong approach

They play 'stupid games', and when you do that

As Naval Ravikant says

'you win stupid prizes'

What's the riskiest thing you've ever done?

Quit your job to start a business...

1) Before doing it, you felt like it was the scariest thing every

2) After doing it, you realised it wasn't as bad as you thought it would be

Without taking risks, there's no real progress

You stay stuck, in the same cycle, hoping something will magically fall into your lap

(Spoiler alert - it won't!)

Now, I'm not saying you have to be rash, and go, quit your job, leave your partner, and head to the airport to take the next flight out...

But you have to be willing to step into the uncomfortable, and push yourself a little

When you hear the word 'CEO' what comes to mind?

There can be mixed ideas on what a CEO is/does

(you can thank Netflix and Instagram for that...lol)

But at it's core, a CEO is responsible for making success happen

Unfortunately, for lotsa people

They ain't the CEO's of their own lives

They are passive participants, hoping for something to fall in their lap that'll make them happy/fulfilled/rich

(spoiler alert - it ain't coming)

Richard Branson said a CEO only has to do 3 things

So in this episode, Im gonna share the exact steps you need to take

If you wanna become the CEO of 'Your Life'

And take back control.

As a Leader, it is always your responsibility.  

Even if you didn't cause the problem, you have to take ownership of getting it solved.  

"Opportunity lurks where responsibility has been abdicated" - Jordan Peterson.  

If you truly want to be a leader, and set the direction for others to follow, you need to be willing to shoulder more than your share of the weight, and set the example for others to follow - stepping up to the plate to get stuff done, and make progress towards the bigger goal.

The good news in all of this, though, is that by understanding the 6 stages we go through when attempting to make a change, you can enhance the likelihood of you being one of the two 'lucky ones' who make it stick :)

Do you ever feel like there's not enough hours in the day, or days in the week, to get everything you wanna do.... done?

A never ending line of people, waiting to load even more stuff onto your plate

Time is your most precious resource, but most of it get's taken up helping others, fire-fighting, and doing work that, really, you shouldn't even be doing!

If that's you - chances are, you've got a boundaries issue

(Don't worry, it's not an STI, or new pandemic...lol)

And it can be fixed pretty quickly - using the stuff I share in todays episode

If you wanna be a high performer, and hit your goals - you need to make sure you set yourself up to succeed

And strong boundaries (that still allow others to feel valued and respected) are a crucial piece of that.
