  • The Interview, With John Anthony Castro, US, 2024 Presidential Candidate, With Rev. Renaldo McKenzie
The episode was over 2 hours long and we broke the interview up in two Parts, A and B. In Part A will I lead the discussions with some general questions about who John is, his, childhood, and started to explore his platform and his plans for America. In Part 2, we continue the interview but included several recorded questions that a few individuals asked me to put to John. In Part A, we learned from John that 1. the student interest deduction is crap, because as long as you’re paying student loan, you shouldn’t pay back taxes. 2. His company, AI Tax is now valued at $180, 000, 000 (AI Tax stands for Artificial Intelligence in terms of Tax planning). 3. The difference between Democrats and Republicans is that Democrats messaging is usually based on the “heart” while the belief is that the GOP bases its arguments on logic and legality. He suggests that there needs to be a balance or a middle ground, and that’s what we need someone who can bring people together and bridge the political and racial divide. (Which in my estimations can only be resolved by “stop thinking Race.” He stated that he is at a very unique position given his experience with life on all sides. He responded to a question I asked: How do you plan to improve social services while being fiscally responsible? He replied saying that this is possible because as a young man that is of the twenty-first century he has found leveraging technology, as a way to realize those two goals since he has done it with his business which has grown rapidly in just a few years. He went on to say this facilitates the ability to spend less and generate more. On the matter of information, security and privacy, he promoted the idea of a “Digital Force” like the military and various branches that prospects various aspects that can pose threats. In fact, he states that the 4th Amendment needs to be extended to private companies, so that private individuals can now sue if these companies violate their users privacy and security. What was really telling and interesting was his view that Trump should not be banned from Social Media because this threatens free speech and states that we must explore other ways to discipline individuals who cause insurrections, which he discusses more fully the issue of Trump in Part B. On the issue of anti trust, he believes that these laws need to be enforced including enforcement of anti-monopoly laws, & asserted that monopolies are against the de-centralization of power & underscored the importance of the Human not as a Resource, But as Talent, for then we will not think of the human as a way to discard, for then he the human would be treated as family. We explored the issue of Energy Independence which he is one of his platform plans, where he believes that we have a responsibility as stewards of God’s Earth. He stated that the GOP, use to be known as the party of Environmentalism & Teddy Roosevelt. But that the GOP got derailed equating environmentalism with “Tree Hugging,” which I have said is a result of the poor messaging & the issue of language which John alluded to as well. He stated that on the issue of drilling, we must develop a prudent way of transitioning from coal & oil to solar energy. One way to do so is to grow the super structure, or grid, for the more we grow it, the more we can slowly do without oil & create innovative ways of producing energy that ultimately saves the planet. But it’s a process. In Part B, we submitted several questions from the public who recorded questions for Mr. Castro. One powerful result came from a question posed by Zion, a young Philadelphia resident asking about what are you doing to promote POSITIVITY, and to move the country forward. John stated that “we all love this country but we all disagree on the means and the goals. Bridging this ideological Divide is the most important aspect of my campaign, Obama tried & failed, because he had power but did not have the courage to use it! … Https://thenoliberal.com

  • Street Vibes, Pulse Of The Street: What are your views on Biden Asking for 33 Billion for Ukraine?
The Neoliberal Round took to the streets to get City Residents opinions on Biden’s request for more relief for Ukraine, 33 Billions In aide/relief. We had already published a story in one of our affiliates https://renaldocmckenzie.Blogspot.com entitled @Americans on The War: Some Are Against The Huge Ukraine Relief Given The US’ Own Problems With Poverty And Lack,” Some Americans, especially African Americans in Philadelphia (whose city is beset by rising poverty, falling incomes and homelessness among younger peoples and are reeling from a drug epidemic that’s destroyed towns like the one shown in the cover image (Kensington Philadelphia suffering from de-industrialization) are against this 12.1 billion dollar package because they say what about poor people here in this country (US). They say it’s too much. That’s from several conversations I have had among 20 city residents, especially African American males 25 and older in Philadelphia. You can see the rest of that blog here Americans on The War: Some Are Against The Huge Ukraine Relief Given The US’ Own Problems With Poverty And Lack http://renaldocmckenzie.blogspot.com/2022/03/americans-on-war-some-are-against-huge.html. So we did a follow up story asking some new respondents on their position and recorded their responses which we shared in this episode of The Neoliberal Round’s “Street Vibes Pulse of The Street.” We begin by sharing two videos of Biden commenting on his plans for Student Loan Debt Relief followed by another video with him discussing the need for the 33 billion Dollars to give to Ukraine. • Street Vibe-Pulse of The Street: Interview with J & I Share Tips on How To Ace An Exam.
Today is street vibe, pulse of the street I did a podcast interview episode Street Vibe where I Interviewed a young man in Philadelphia I called J for anonymity On the Difficulties of Realizing Life’s Goals and I Share Tips on How To Ace An Exam. This is where we engaged the streets and strike up conversations with people in communities about their life, stories challenges or successes. It’s anthropological at best, deep and very revealing. We bring the local to the global.
This Street Vibe interview comes on the heels of an upcoming interview The Neoliberal Corporation will be having on The Neoliberal Round Podcast with Mr. John Anthony Castro, US 2024, Presidential Candidate, hosted by Renaldo McKenzie, Author of Neoliberalism, Globalization, Income Inequality Poverty And Resistance.

This is where we engaged the streets and strike up conversations with people in communities about their life, stories challenges or successes. It’s anthropological at best, deep and very revealing.
Who is John Anthony Castro. John Anthony was born into a working class military family stationed at the U.S. military base in Germany and eventually graduated from Georgetown University Law Center with over $250,000 in student loan debt. Against all odds, he persevered (https://johncastro.com).
This is important because one of the question I wanna put to John is, what were your goals, did you always have dreams or desires of becoming a US President or an Attorney or an entrepreneur?
And secondly, what were your challenges in coming to achieving or coming to this point and how were you able to navigate them?
Because it’s important to ask this question as we get into this episode of Street Vibe on The Neoliberal Round Podcast or interview below in the Post, where I interviewed a young man from a vulnerable community in Philadelphia, from a working class family, a family that is marginalized, and someone whose had to navigate life having a kind of experience who’ve had visions and dreams like Barack Obama, visions and dreams like John Castro. And I’ve spoken with several people who’ve said that they’ve had dreams and visions and this particular young have had to put them in the back burner in order to ensure he has a roof over his head or to make ends meet. It was revealed that he went to school, Temple but dropped out due to financing and he didn’t want to have a huge debt, so dropped out and joined the Military…. Listen to this interview it provides a good contrast between lives and the decision making as we get ready to interview Mr. Anthony next week Monday May, 2, 2022. Renaldo: This is important; I asked you “what are your goals?” Your goals are to what…?
J: To be a Realtor, to sell houses… you’ll see.
    Renaldo: Ok
    J: … sell houses, have a business…
Renaldo: What are you doing to realize it?
J: I said nothing… fasure, I put them to the side so I can have an income over my head.
Renaldo: So you spend your life making sure you have a roof over your head. How long have you been… when did you first discover that you wanted to realize that dream…? • Part 2: Series on "Privilege, Power, Position, Status and Secrets to Unlocking DivineIntervention
The "#illMind of #Hopsin 7 by Hopsin is where we will begin this second part of a series on "#Privilege, #Power, Position, Status and Secrets to Unlocking #DivineIntervention."
"Ill Mind Of Hopsin 7" by Hopsin
    Intro/Outro:
    It’s us, find power
    It’s us, find power
    Live life, mind power
    It’s us, find power
    Live life, mind power
Yo, f*k anybody I might alarm
Life is a tour, I sit and ride along
Taking some notes and then I write the song
I’m staring down the road my life has gone
    Is this where I belong?
Is it wrong to not believe in right & wrong?
My mental state is f*ing me up
And I cry the pond while asking you for some answers
But we don’t have that type of bond
That my desires gone with the way that I’ve been living lately
If I died right now, you’d turn the fire on
Sick of this bulls*t, niggas call me a sellout
Cause I hopped on Christianity so strongly then I fell out
Now I’m avoiding questions like a scared dog with his tail down
Feeling so damn humiliated because they looking at me like I’m hellbound
What story should I tell now? I’ll just expose the truth
I'm so close to the f*ing edge, I should be close to you
But who the fuck are You? You never showed the proof
And I’m only f*ing human yo, what am I supposed to do?
There’s way too many different religions with vivid descriptions...."
Hopsin rap suggests that he’s at a place where he is experiencing critical thinking at work. You see, that’s what happen when you begin to expose oneself and think critically, it clashes with beliefs that you had once held because those beliefs came to you as a top-down approach with no ability to question them for yourselves which locks your brain in a particular reality. Until you are able to break free from that. When you are able to, it challenges you to a point of distress and frustration. But that is good, because it means now you are open to tremendous possibilities and the understanding of all things beyond any particular perspectives that were borrowed at best and had monopolized the mind so as to make it complicit and a willing participant in external abuse. That is what we must guard against which is why we should develop the individual so that he can think for him or herself without the possibility of being hijacked.
As we think about Privilege, Power, Position within the development of human society overtime and the challenges they pose for progress, critical thinking and communication become absolutely necessary because knowledge or the ability to think critically, while having access to information that is decentralized and de-monopolized are key to augmenting the individual so as to avert external manipulation and discrimination. The lecture that I did on Critical thinking at The Jamaica Theological Seminary for the course “Caribbean Thought” sometime ago, is worth sharing as we explore the issue of privilege and power, position and status and this drive to want to regulate information and to create laws about teaching critical history... Certainly, as we think about how to protect against disinformation and manipulative power, while we realize effective communication which is “to make popular what was the monopoly,” critical thinking becomes paramount. When others seek to create laws & policies or regulatory methods, which would suggest that people can’t think for themselves, we are about facilitating learning geared towards augmenting thinking that do the critical thinking that is needed to filter news, narratives & perspectives. More laws and regulations do not necessarily change anything, they more than anything centralize ownership and limit access. Which then create or expand an underground market, that people can still access. Recently, Former President Obama said, “The way I’m going to evaluate any proposal touching on social media & the internet is whether it strengthens or weakens the prospects for healthy, inclusive democracy.” But, what does this mean? • Series on Privilege, Power, Position & Secrets To Unlocking Divine Intervention” By Renaldo McKenzie
This is the first in a series on “Privilege, Power, Position & Secrets To Unlocking Divine Intervention.” By Renaldo McKenzie, the title of a book project he’s working in. He begins this episode by playing a song “God is Good,” by Jonathan McReynolds. Then he begins by sharing a real life personal testimony. He then transitions into the topic by questioning his own interpretation of that experience but then highlight that any experience should not be objectified and universalized as it’s a perspective but a powerful one worth hearing and exploring as we live our own lives and contend with the reality of the Divine. This story is powerful and provides a Segway into the understanding of privilege power and position as this experience can be used to privilege an experience or promote a position appealing to the authority of the divinitive experience. But this has been the trend as we begin to study the development of privilege and power and position within historical literature. And recently David French was on MSNBC Good Morning Joe sharing an article he wrote in the Atlantic, “Free Speech for me But not for Thee,” where he underscore how the GOP have evolved or devolved into a party of rules and laws and not individualism and freedoms. But with respect, Renaldo corrects Mr. French arguing in this series episode that it’s not new, this Pharisaicalism, hypocrisy and duplicity where the goal posts keeps changing. Renaldo argue that it is a strategy and norm of power to change and adjust the rules so as to reassert a position. He shares a comment from his book Neoliberalism, Globalization, Income Inequality Poverty And Resistance where he talks about how NAFTA was re-authorized so as to maintain a particular position of dominance and gain. In 2006, I was serving as the Youth Minister for the Northern Parishes of the United Church in Jamaica and Cayman Islands. Something happened that led to an interpretive conclusion about the sacred and profane: The Divine or God whatever he, she or it is called intervene/s in so far as we believe in the Divine’s intervention. But isn’t that a cliché and doesn’t that belief leads to a conclusion that is already biased by the assertion or assumption of that belief? For in the Illiad the intervention that is expressed is one that is similar – if it works out in the way that you want it to work out then that was the Divine intervening; if not the Gods didn’t want a particular outcome. Nevertheless, the story I am about to share below is powerful which leads to a personal conclusion that is found elsewhere, and if not relatable by others then the revelation is special. But let us continue with our testimony. I was at the Manse on a Saturday night with 4 younger men from the “hood” whom I was mentoring at the time. I explained to them that I’d like to take them to a youth mission 2 – 3 hours in another parish as I was to be the main speaker. I invited them to pray with me as I didn’t have any money to put gas in the car to get to the destination but was hoping for a miracle or some “divine intervention.” We gathered in my room in a circle and prayed asking God to help us to get to our destination by intervening in a specific way. We prayed that God would move upon the gas station owner to be present at the pump when we get there and allow us to get a full tank on him. I had urged the divine while praying to intervene in that specific way that the young men could bear witness of the Divine and since I am about promoting the business of God and not self that he would intervene as this was not for self but for his “glory.” The following, Sunday morning we all woke up got dressed had breakfast and loaded up the van and started on our way with the gas tank on E…But then the gas station owner showed up out of nowhere…you re good to go, you don’t have to pay…They were convinced that God had intervened. However, the interpretation of such a revelation may be the result of historical knowledge about the sacred

About The NeoLiberal Round

From the publisher's feed

Life is about people/how people relate. Yet life is what we make it or allow others to make of it for us creating privileges. The Neoliberal Round is a think tank exploring life. We're interdisciplinary and dynamic; concerning ourselves with global issues and problems so as to serve the world today to solve tomorrow's challenges, by making popular what was the monopoly. We will be bold and deliberate in our reflections on truths, lifting up issues of ethics/human values.
