  • British PM: “The (Russian) People deserve the truth, you deserve the truth?” Is A “VPN” the Answer?
This episode begins with a Video message recorded and delivered to the Russian People by British PM Boris Johnson. We discuss issues from it in light of our continued discussions on “Privilege, Power, Position and status” and Communication. This is also available as an article in The Neoliberal Post at https://renaldocmckenzie.com and https://theneoliberal.com. It is rather interesting how context and current situations determine and drive policy and positions on issues, such as those concerning information and communication. And I tell you, it’s an issue and strategy for and of power. For the reason that when a dynamic is changing thereby creating a paradigm shift in the currency, level of power, position or privileges of peoples dynamics couched in certain values, whatever policy that holds it in place becomes a problem.
Case-in-point: I carried a story about inside Obama fight against Disinformation in The Neoliberal Post published April 11. 2022 where I wrote: Who controls the narratives in the twenty-first century that has seen the decentralization of communication and control of information? Thanks to social and alternative media. Therefore, no one really has control, what we have is a plethora of perspectives, staples of information for us to access and analyze, information that was once reserved. This is necessary as it helps to realize the goal of Communication; to make popular what was the monopoly, and Man has always challenged or obstructed access to information to increase, maintain or establish power or hold over a society or a people. However, Social Media challenges and is an affront to this power, even as it helps communication realizes it aims of making popular what was or is the monopoly. I concluded the article saying: We should be very nervous and suspicious of major news, their political supporters and wealthy sponsors who are leading the charge to reconsolidate their control over the news and information. What moral authority do they have to impose their control that has been at best political and divisive. When social media affects their position and power and the access and decentralization of information pose problems and threats for them and their narratives and what they hope to achieve,” (https://renaldocmckenzie.com/?p=332).
Indeed, we are constantly emphasizing this aim of communication so that as a society we can understand it fully, as we look at power and the dynamics of humanity in society that “Communication is to make popular what was the monopoly,” and this war highlights the importance of access to information and communication.
So while we are here in America exploring ways to regulate independent news media so as to control its independence and ability to put out various news, Russians are having to deal with a highly regulated news that’s serves the kremlin devoid of a diversity of perspectives for them to choose from and British PM is recommending ways they can avert this so that they can get access to independent news media that provide staples of news that is independent and varied so as to facilitate proper engagement of the news and information to get a balanced and comprehensive perspective free of monopoly… By

  • News: Alleged Gunman Injures 20, Cites Homelessness; and Communication, Disinformation & Obama Fight
Today we have developing news concerning the incident on Monday April 12, 2022; in Sunset Brooklyn NYC where at 8:34 am a lone Gunman released smoke devices before shooting indiscriminately on an NYC subway train. This news comes right after the announcement of President Biden who had a press conference in the White House Rose Garden beefing up efforts to prevent gun violence by requiring “ghost guns” to be have serials, imposing the requirement of license when selling and buying these guns, which are already required, and appointed a new ATF director. While they were trying to curb ghost guns use, someone was planning to use other type of weapons to carry out their heinous thoughts. The identified individual is said to have Come from Wisconsin, renting a u-Haul van in Philly before driving to NYC. The gun man injured 20 and has not been found. However NYPD is investigating a suspicious individual Mr. James who is the person who rented the suspicious van that was at the scene. Now concerning this man’s motives, “NYPD Commissioner Keechant Sewell said there are possibly some social media postings connected to James in which he mentions homelessness, New York and Mayor Eric Adams. The mayor's security detail was heightened out of an abundance of caution, Sewell said,” (CNN). We had just carried a story about being more comprehensive with addressing gun violence and stated that homelessness, rise poverty, decreases in household incomes and rise in prices coupled with COVID, Russian-Ukraine War and social media, pop culture, music and video games raising our children who are now vomiting the crimes are issues we must look at. And today we are hearing that the alleged gunman was dealing with homelessness. We then move into the second segment entitled: “Communication & Disinformation & Obama’s Fight.” Who controls the narratives in the twenty-first century that has seen the decentralization of communication and control of information? Thanks to social and alternative media. Therefore, no one really has control, what we have is a plethora of perspectives, staples of information for us to access and analyze, information that was once reserved. This is necessary as it helps to realize the goal of Communication; to make popular what was the monopoly, and Man has always challenged or obstructed access to information to increase, maintain or establish power or hold over a society or a people. However, Social Media challenges and is an affront to this power, even as it helps communication realizes it aims of making popular what was or is the monopoly. The drive to regulate information must be approached with a level of suspicion and scrutiny because of the rational and so-called pure intentions of this regulatory effort to manage news calling it a corrective means of dispelling misinformation or disinformation or crazy news. However, the strategy to do so would suggest that Americans aren’t individuals with brains who can filter and analyze information and make decisions for themselves based on the news that they have received or based on external stimuli. The problem is that news have become a political and divisive issue and the fact that social media helps to decentralize control of information, thereby providing greater access and several more diverse perspectives of the news, means that no one or two groups can control. Further if you have money, then you can control the narrative and when you look at elections and politics in an America, one cannot rely on major news sources as their news is riddled in political ideology and a spin of the news that satisfies their big money backers. Fox, CNN and MSNBC are prime examples of news outlets that are not innocent of the crime of monopolizing the news for its cronies so as to extend their supporters control or to create, establish or maintain power or a particular political dynamic. So Social media poses problems for these major news outlets

  • Murder Rates are Rising Sharply! Is Gun Reform the Answer?

This Podcast show is powerful and vital. It speaks to the current discussions around the Rising Gun-related Murder Rates and Gun Reform. We begin by playing Pooh Shiesty Song: “Back in Blood,” which seems to be promoting the same thing we are trying to fix. This song is the number 10 song on the 2021 American Music Billboards and is the number one Rap song on the billboards for 2021. The episode begins by analyzing a Pew Research data and their analysis of the findings by their staff reporter John Gramlich who made an erroneous conclusion from a dab analysis. We delve into the data and provide solutions to some of the challenges surrounding Gun deaths instead of gun reform and suggest why President Biden has been slow to enact Amy more new gun control policiesZ we will make bold statements in this show starting with the this: Therefore, John Gramlich’s and the Pew Research Center’s conclusion here that “Despite the increase in such fatalities, the rate of gun deaths – a statistic that accounts for the nation’s growing population – remains below the levels of earlier years,” (ibid) is misleading as it does not account for periods where the rates were lower and even years where the data included other weapons, explosives, which must be accounted for when making judgments based on comparative analysis about the data. This brings us to the question, as to how we were able to bring and keep the rates down between 1998 to 2016? What policies on gun reform did they apply? Read this week's Newsletter article in #linkedinnews via #TheNeoliberalCommentary or The Neoliberal Post at https://renaldocmckenzie.com entitled: #MurderRates are Rising Sharply! Is #GunReform the #Answer? The article is powerful and extremely vital to the discussions seeking solutions to #guncontrol and #gunviolence in #America. It considers issues of #socialization such as #popculture, #videogames such as #grandtheftauto #rapmusic such as #BackinBlood by Pooh Shiesty and Lil Durk and of course the increase in #Poverty and fall in the real incomes of median households, and even revisited the #prohibition years and #jamaica where gun-related crimes and murder are among the highest in the world despite their restrictive gun control policy as there is no policy that gives Jamaicans the "right to bear arms". • BREAKING NEWS: Russian News Calls For The Denazification of Ukraine: Full Blown Genocide & Putin

Breaking News: The Neoliberal Corporation has obtained an ominous article today published by the Russian State News Agency which is of course owned and controlled by Putin and The Kremlin. The story was obtained via news outlets in Ukraine and we confirmed this with official news sources in Ukraine and the Ukrainian official State sites and feeds. The story calls for the denazification of Ukraine however this is not really breaking news. This is part of the Kremlin’s and Putin efforts to brainwash by constantly publish the same information justifying the war over and over again in different articles that speaks to the same issues - denazification of Ukraine. However, what is new about this article is found towards the end. The end of the article stated that Russia was helping the US decolonize the world of Nazism, but this is ambivalent and hypocritical because earlier in the article it said that it is draining Ukraine of a new kind of Nazism which it describes as America values pervading Ukraine which the article and Putin has argued is being used by the same West it now says that it’s helping to drain of Nazism which is western values. This is convoluting and ambivalent. For, why would the US, want Russia to help them drain Ukraine of Nazism. It seems to forget what it had stated previously. Further it is quite laughable that the article stated at the end that it has made sacrifices helping the US to lead the process of decolonization but then explained in the same article a process to recolonize Ukrainians. This makes no sense, and this is a new argument. Finally, what is new to the staple of brainwashing campaign of selling repeated stories justifying the special operation in Ukraine by rehashing the same ideological points, is the statement in the closing paragraph where the article stated that “Russia will now go it alone from here…” But this is not true as Russia has been going it alone for a long time. They alone decided to go to invade Ukraine. So, this is quite amusing and strange that the article would conclude with such a new departure from its usual refrain. Unless Putin is now backed in a corner and has nowhere left to turn and it seems this is exactly what has happened. Because these closing statements are ambivalent, hypocritical and clash with previous statements and intentions stated about the justification for the war. Whatever the conclusion we have already stated that this war based on all the speeches and publications from the kremlin is couched in human prejudice, ethnocentrism which challenges human progress. The article clearly shows the basis for war: stripping away the individual or the humanity of another, redefine that stripped person’s or nation’s identity as less than, and then move to impose either through passive and then coercive and violence that is justified as a systematic process. This is how Power is maintained, established or increased in the world. People privilege a particular value or idea and impose that through various strategies in the world which involves stripping away the human and redefining their reality within one’s own realities. But what is the ultimate of all things? That we become one reality despite and with all of our individuality. A man said, “one you label you, you negate me,” (Kierkegaard). Let us move away from labels that breathe suspicions, division and destruction, so that we can truly be United! The episode is broken up in 3 segments, Introduction, Content, Putin Speech March 16 which resembles this piece, and then ending credits. The Episode on Putin’s Speech, March 16th … is available here and you may peruse the episodes to find the show we did on that speech, which was quite telling and speaks to this remake of that speech with the added conclusion. • Tips On How To Get Through College or School While Balancing Life.
This Episode is very informative and resourceful especially for those in school or college or seeking to go to college and having to balance the myriad of situations occurring in their lives in addition to trying to successfully get through a course or program. This episode provides several recommendations or tips which may help you to overcome these challenges. The presentation was done live at a school with a group of senior students at a school in Germantown Philadelphia; students who are getting ready to go to college. The episode ends with a summary of the main recommendations and tips. The presentation is also available as an article in the The Neoliberal Post. Pursuing higher or professional education is not easy, especially as black or brown students who have to joggle between work, home, school life while trying to deal with limited resources, and the challenges that come with being black and pursuing a college education especially if you’re at a school that is not predominantly black or diverse. Recently I have met, interviewed and engaged several students especially African American students (AA’s) who have shared their experience in college and who are struggling. The recurring challenges for these students, listed below, which we have summarized, are based on interviews, social media posts and comments, studies and reports and ethnographic methods: The way the course is taught or they experience culture shock
    Time Management
Work life, financial stress and meeting academic deadlines and difficulties adjusting to the institutions academic requirements
Limited or no family support (feels lonely) they say great that you’re in but then don’t understand why you’re there it’s value and have no time as they navigate their own lives and you feel more doubtful about why you need to do this. Family only get involve when you are about to fail and that threatens all their financial investments that they work hard to secure your college education. In fact, I encountered two of these students recently whose concerns I will share and provide specific recommendations for students who may have similar experiences. One 24-year-old student commented that: “I’m just burnt out overall honestly and it sucks because I’m really drained, and I be feeling like giving up, but I can’t!!." Then, there is the PHD student I refer to as Ace, who is overwhelmed by having to do so much reading and is dealing with balancing work life and having his ideas challenged in class. wrote that: “So much reading to do but this is what I signed up for…. My ideas are challenged, I question my own ideas, and I question those of others,” (Ace). Many of these students have quit, had to withdraw and or opt to study elsewhere or another discipline all together. But it doesn’t have to be like that. There is support and ways we can be less overwhelmed. I have developed some tips that you may find useful, which I have shared in this article. But I will share two of these stories and provide a step-by-step list of ways we can minimize or overcome these challenges that I have found useful as a Researcher, Social Scientist, Academic, Author, Doctoral candidate, with years of advanced education, and teaching seniors and college students, entrepreneur and someone who has experience the same struggles, but is having some success. I will break them up into two stories, the first is a young man, I refer to as Zee who is experiencing burn-out and having difficulties grasping some concepts in his math class, and then I will provide specific recommendations … you may view the article at https://renaldocmckenzie.com/?p=219

  • Are The BLM Closer To Achieving Their Aims? And The Confirmation of Ketanji Brown Jackson As Justice
This Episode is entitled: Are The BLM Closer To Achieving Their Aims? And The Confirmation of Ketanji Brown Jackson As Justice. In this episode we discuss news of corruption within the BLM and consider the question which leads from them are they and the Resistance or Social and Resistance Movements closer to achieving their aims? The answer is quite ambivalent and interesting as while we are exploring that question of efficacy and effectiveness, Ketanji Brown Jackson, the first African American woman to be nominated to the US Supreme Court, is being confirmed by the US Senate. We actually join and carry the vote confirmation by the Senate Live, while we discuss the foregoing topic. The episode is broken up in two segments, the first segment is the introduction and the beginning of the senate vote to confirm, which we interrupt to delve into the discussions around the BLM. We then break and rejoin the Live confirmation event in segment 2 where we hear VP Harris reports on the results of the vote and officially announce the confirmation of Ketanji Brown Jackson’s Nomination as Court Justice to the US Supreme Court. The story regarding the BLM is also available in The Neoliberal Post at https://RenaldoCMckenzie.com or via https://theneoliberal.com where you can access all our feeds and affiliates.

This episode is split into 4 segments as the episode is a very long episode, 1hr and 56 minutes or so. This is part of a conversation or discussion I had with Leader Process introducing the book and it’s value and importance for society.
