Although she feels blessed for her pregnancy, she's not loving the process of gaining weight again. This week, I had to put my 12-year-old dog down. The grief in this episode is specific to losing a pet. It’s therapeutic for me to share everything that I learned about grief in the last few weeks:

• How grief brought my husband and I closer
• How grief feels like mental gymnastics
• Navigating tough conversations: when is the right time to put a dog down?
• Coping mechanisms and how I managed my grief
• Trying to turn my grief into gratitude 

The biggest lesson was that I had to learn how to manage my grief because I still had to be a mom. Even though my world felt paused, life still moves around me and I have to show up.

Like any teenager in love, Londyn never thought the first time she was intimate with her boyfriend would get her pregnant. However, when Londyn found out she was pregnant at 17 years old, she began a journey through self-discovery and navigating relationships with her support system.  In this episode, she shares her journey through pregnancy to postpartum and offers up words of support for any other young moms going through the same thing.

In this episode, Lina gets emotional on the mic (again) but this time talking about how her anxiety is getting worse as time goes on. She shares how she woke up with a panic attack the other night and what her intrusive thoughts were about. 

Lina talks about how although she feels lucky that she hasn't had any nausea or food aversions, she's been experiencing perinatal anxiety and pregnancy insomnia. She talks about she believes that sleep in the foundation to having good mental health and how the second sleep deteriorates, everything else seems to go too. 

Lina talks about why she's interested in hypnobirthing for her 2nd baby. For her first delivery, she suffered from a full body allergic reaction that her doctors and dermatologists couldn't diagnose. Through self-diagnosis, she suspects that it was PUPPP (pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy) that turned into a postpartum condition. She thinks the postpartum condition could have been caused by the amount of medication she was given between induction and the epidural and how her body was oversensitive and just started to attack itself.
