X is a band that has been around since the starting days of the punk era, but time isn't kind.  The band has decided to call it quits, but not without going out with a bang. 

In this episode we'll not only review their new, and final, album Smoke And Fiction, but we're thrilled to give you an interview with the one and only Exene Cervenka. She discusses the early days of the band, working on this album, the challenges of recording material now and much more!

Season 5, Episode 93

Two review episodes in a row?  Shocking! 

We're going to start off the show with a review of The Alarm's latest, a covers album titled Music Television from 2024. 

After that, The Stranglers most recent work, released in 2021, was Dark Matters. It's been a while since we heard from them so we'll dive into that album. 

As for music news, we have new singles from David J (Bauhaus, Love And Rockets), Kate Pierson (B-52s) and Jesus Jones.  In addition, an upcoming Vapors album and sad news about Oingo Boingo Former Members.

But, it's that time again.  In this episode we're going to dive into the latest from Manchester legends, James, and their new album "Yummy."  Then, equally legendary, The Pet Shop Boys have a new album out, "Nevertheless," and we'll give our thoughts on that one.

Music news is pretty loaded with new singles from Camouflage, Robyn Hitchcock, Marc Almond, Paul Heaton and X.  Plus, upcoming albums from The Wolfgang Press and The Cure.  Finally, there are new singles from Urban Heat, which will be on their upcoming release "The Tower," and local favorite, Indigo Waves.
