What does a healthy day look like for you?
In The Nitty Gritty Podcast EP 35: TRUST…the process-Part 2, Schell and Danielle pick up the conversation on trust and discuss what it means to trust God, surrender, and apply God's word in the moments that seem so ugly, hidden, and impossible to face.
What does it mean to trust God?
Trust is not the belief that Jesus is the Savior of the world; its believing He is the Savior of every moment.
What is true surrender?
Lay it all out there. Be honest with yourself. Be honest with God. Sit and be with Him.
Surrender requires God
How do we discern God’s voice?
God’s words are always supported by God’s Word, Scripture. He does not contradict Himself.
Our thoughts are usually determined from past experiences and emotions.
The enemy’s voice brings shame, confusion, and condemnation.
Scriptures:
Book/ Bible Study :
Discerning the Voice of God, By: Priscilla Shirer
In Ep:34 Trust...The Process Part 1 The Nitty Gritty is flipping the script from "trust the process" to "the process of trusting God".
In this episode, you will:
- discover the only way to show up as your real, authentic self is preparation with Jesus.
- learn Jesus is not just the Savior of the world, He's the Savior of every moment.
Scripture:
Exodus 4- What ordinary thing (resource) does God (The Source) want to use for His extraordinary?
John 4:28- What can we let go of in order to grab hold of Jesus?
Philippians 1:21- "To live is Christ and to die is gain..."
What does it mean to "empty ourselves"?
This is more precisely, what is getting in the way?
-criticism
-busy schedule
-worry
-sin
How do we empty ourselves?
1. Read God's Word
2. Ask Holy Spirit to reveal it (uncover it)
3. Be hungry for God
4. Trust
What happens when it's not excited or we feel forsaken?
"maintain the vital connection"

The Nitty Gritty welcomes Jody Defries--Daughter of the King, wife to 1, mother of 8, and friend to all--as she walks us through how God delivered her from white-knuckling her life. God replaced the intrusive, invasive thoughts with hearing the angels singing, "You are a child of God".
Friends, get ready to be blessed. You won't want to miss this one!
What is Deliverance?
Freedom.
Our soul is like a suitcase. We acquire "dirty socks" that end up hidden in different compartments. Whether sins we've done or sins against us, we have soul wounds. (paraphrase)
-Soul Care, By: Dr. Rob Riemer
What do we need deliverance from?
(just a few we mentioned)
Why do we need others to help deliver us?
It's like a care team putting a game plan together. People that have experience and knowledge that we don't have who, by God's revelation and wisdom, through prayer and fasting, can see the perspective, hear words of knowledge, etc. to speak directly into the situation.
