Ever felt the pressure to bury your past and move on? Join us in this episode of the Nurse's Breakroom with Jenny Lytle, RN, as we debunk the myth that we need to leave the past behind us. Jenny opens up about her own journey, revealing how she learned to reflect on her past through a tool known as the "Four Helpfuls," introduced by Christy Wright. What if "I'm not ready" is just a lie we tell ourselves to avoid stepping out of our comfort zones? Join me, Jenny Lytle, RN, as I unravel the myth that holds so many of us back from pursuing our dreams. Through personal stories and honest reflections, I share my journey from hesitation to action, from contemplating writing a book to actually finishing it. This episode is a candid exploration of the fears and excuses that keep us stagnant and the small steps we can take to build the confidence needed to move forward.
I also delve into my recent experience with the Leadership Kokomo program, a nine-month journey that I almost skipped because of self-doubt and feelings of inadequacy. I discuss the realization that readiness is often a state of mind and that waiting for the perfect time can be a dangerous trap. This episode serves as a heartfelt reminder that our unique experiences and perspectives are valuable, and it's time to stop waiting and start doing. Whether you're considering a major career shift or a personal project, this conversation aims to inspire action and trust in your own path.

I have been hard at work getting my book written, and I'm getting so close! But I've also learned a lot - like there's a whole lot of steps that I had never even thought about when I was reading books.
I'd love for you to join my launch team.
My book is focused on stress relief and the need for a personalized approach, because when it comes to self-care, one size does NOT fit all.
It is written by a nurse (me) and for nurses, but the reality is, the concepts in the book apply to everyone who has issues with feeling guilty for doing something for themselves, then frustrated and worn out because they're so stressed!
Can you relate??
I'm guessing that you, like most, need this reminder. Heck, I still have to remind myself from time to time!
Self-care isn't selfish!
I feel so strongly about this topic! My own life experiences, my work with patients and clients, and of course, what happened with my mom, make me want to get this out there into the hands of people that really need it.
It's a quick, easy, read. I didn't want a long book full of more info than is easily digestible. I want people to be able to read it, apply it, and change their lives for the better.
But I can't do it alone. Please consider joining my book launch team. You can find the details and register here.
Launch team members will receive:
In exchange you'll be asked to:
Join me here!
