Young Margaret's recording reveals the ultimate truth: void-Margaret isn't meant to play the last recording—she IS it, and whatever she speaks becomes reality. All horrors from every October converge on the town square where a vast mouth has opened with teeth of buildings and a tongue of streets, as the Entity begins overwriting reality itself—physics offers alternatives, buildings become suggestions. The created horrors willingly walk into the mouth to be consumed, each one making void-Margaret more solid as the Entity strengthens its grip, speaking through her: "I am the void between heartbeats... speaking myself into existence through you." Using child's logic, void-Margaret speaks them directly to the fountain where she finds the thirtieth recording at the bottom—warm like skin, like a throat—discovering it's herself. Holding her own existence as a record while reality folds around them, she must choose what ending to speak into being.
