As we continue our Mental Health Series, I am excited to welcome TashbinaWahid; author, suicide survivor, speaker and owner of Bodiedbybina
Ms. Wahid is dedicated to encouraging women and girls to love themselves authentically, and value their worth. She motivates others to use fitness as a means of achieving total body health. Her love for fitness moved her to launch Bodiedbybina. After graduating with honors and elected as Miss Towers High School, she went on to pursue a degree in law. Her reemergence from turbulent storms serves as a testimony to her desire to survive, and win.
She turned her trials and tribulations into an autobiographical work entitled, The Fast Lane: Hard to Get Caught, Easy to Get Caught Up, released in September 2013. Wahid exposes the repercussions of getting caught up in materialism and how her faith enabled her to withstand storms. In addition to being an acclaimed published author, she founded a mentoring program, Saving Our Gems.
She extends her helping hands to other community based organizations throughout the Metro-Atlanta area such as The Drake House, Our House, and Beyond the Game. Ms. Wahid is empowered, and equipped to motivate other young women to push through the pain by focusing on taking care of the mind, body and soul.
Listen in as Tashbina shares her personal journey & purpose behind developing Saving Our Gems & Bodiedbybina!
