  • #61 - Phil Rennie -  Stop Burning Yourself Into The Ground

In this episode, I sit down with Phil Rennie.

Business owner, young family, driven, ambitious, and used to going all in.

The problem was, that approach was burning him out every year.

Push hard, grind through it, hit a wall, repeat.

It got to the point where everything slowed down. No energy, no focus, and not showing up properly at home or in the business.

Health & wellbeing completely on it’s arse.

He thought needed to push harder.

    Spoiler alert; he didn’t.

The problem wasn’t effort, it was how he was operating.

We stripped it back, changed the approach, and focused on building something he could actually sustain instead of short bursts followed by burnout.

We also found there was more going on under the surface with his health that needed addressing.

    And we addressed it.

Now he’s in a completely different place.

More energy, clearer thinking, and actually able to show up properly across everything that matters.

Same business. Same life. Same stress.

Better standards. Better structure. Better Phil.

  • #60 - Stuart Rose-  What Got You Here Won’t Get You There

In this episode, I sit down with Stuart Rose.

Approaching 40, young family, full on at work, and trying to give 100% to everything, but none of it was getting his best.

He was flat, not present, and just grinding through the days. He kept telling himself he’d sort it when things got easier, but with a second child on the way and work only getting busier, it was obvious that wasn’t happening.

The problem wasn’t effort, it was how he was operating.

We didn’t overhaul his life, we changed how he was operating within it, built something he could actually stick to, and addressed the habits and mindset that had been holding him back.

Fourteen weeks later, nothing external has changed, but he’s more present, clearer at work, and back in control of himself.

Same life. Better standards. Better structure. Better mindset. Better Stuart.

  • #59 - Lee Wells - You Don’t Need Motivation, You Need Consistency

In this episode, I sit down with 1P client Lee Wells - co-founder of a logistics business, husband, dad, and someone who, on paper, had everything in a good place.

Business was doing well, family life was solid, and nothing was obviously wrong.

But something was off. He knew he wasn’t operating at his best, and that there was more in the tank if he could just get things to stick.

We get into the cycle a lot of men fall into. Going all in, pushing hard for a few weeks, then work and life take over and everything drops off.

Lee realised the problem wasn’t effort or motivation. It was the approach.

Doing less, but doing it consistently, changed everything. Not perfectly, not every day, but enough to build momentum and actually maintain it.

Once that clicked, everything else started to feel easier. Work, home life, and how he handled pressure all improved as a result.

  • #58 - David Houghton - You’re Not Stressed, You’re Neglecting Yourself

In this episode, I sit down with 1P client David Houghton - freelance director, cinematographer, dad, and someone who found himself stuck in a pattern a lot of men fall into.

Work was busy, life was full, and without really noticing it, he’d stopped taking care of himself.

Then things slowed down and instead of feeling better, it got worse. More stress, more overthinking, more pressure.

We get into why that happens and what actually needs to change.

Because his situation didn’t suddenly improve. Work was still inconsistent and the pressure was still there. The difference was how he handled it.

Getting some structure back, doing the basics properly, and giving himself a bit of space changed everything.

Not in a dramatic way - just enough to feel back in control and deal with what was in front of him.

  • #57 - Tom Kiddle - Stop Hiding Behind Work

In this episode, Tom Kiddle is back on the podcast talking through the last 18 months - from being in the c-suite selling a business, leaving corporate, and stepping into the reality of building something from scratch.

We get into the illusion of control, the emotional swings of running your own business, and why so many high performers hide behind “working hard” while personal standards slip.

And how that makes everything else worse.

    The shift?

Focus on what you can control.

    Accept what you can’t.

And stop using work as an excuse to let the rest of your life fall apart.

  • #56 - Luke Doran - Good Intentions are Bulls**t

Good intentions pissed the bed and blamed it on the sheets.

You are what you repeatedly do. Not what you intend to do.

    Intentions don’t fix marriages.

    Intentions don’t grow businesses.

    Intentions don’t build physiques.

    Intentions don’t change anything.

    Behaviour does.

So if you’re not getting the outcome you want, it has f**k all to do with your intentions and everything to do with your behaviour.

Good intentions without aligned behaviour are just delusional noise.

  • #55 - Matt Doyle - Built For Busy

Matt Doyle works in investment banking.

Long hours. High pressure. Constant demands.

From the outside, it was all moving in the right direction.

    But underneath?

    • Laptop & phone in bed at midnight
    • Always “on”
    • Never present
    • All or nothing fitness cycles

He thought the solution was to push harder.

    It wasn’t.

This episode is about what happens when you stop trying to smash everything at 120% - and start building foundations you can actually sustain.

  • #54 - Andy Miller - Who Gets the Best Version of You?

Andy Miller was doing his best to hold it all together.

    • Self-employed vet.
    • Two young boys.
    • Building a second business.
    • Supporting everyone else.

From the outside, things looked good.

But on the inside, there was a disconnect.

    • Burning the candle at both ends
    • Health slipping
    • Snappy & irritable at home.
    • He was running on empty.

Then his fiancée said something that made him stop:

“Why does everyone else get the best version of you?”

And when she said that, he realised something had to change.

This episode is about what happens when you learn to put yourself first - so you can show up properly for everyone else.

  • #53 - Gareth Legg - My Head Felt Like A Boiling Kettle

Gareth Legg was doing what most men do - holding it all together.

Good job. Two kids. Full plate. Supportive wife.

    But inside?

    He was knackered. Snappy. Overwhelmed.

His head was like a boiling kettle.

Until one night, a simple question from his wife broke him:

“Are you doing football or rugby tonight?”

He couldn’t answer - and he cracked.

That moment led to him asking for help - and finally taking control.

This episode is about what changes when you stop bottling everything up - ask for help - and get the support you need.

  • #52 - Rob Cafferky - Everything Looked Fine… But I Wasn’t

Rob Cafferky had the life most guys want.

Young family. Great job. Beautiful house in Ireland.

Everything looked fine on paper - but underneath, he felt like a ghost in his own life.

Low energy. Short-tempered. Disconnected from the man he wanted to be.

In this episode, we talk about what changed - and how Rob rebuilt his identity through structure, habits, and proper ownership.

    We cover:

    • Why self-esteem comes from doing what you say you will
    • The power of momentum when life feels stagnant
    • How to lead at home and work without losing yourself
    • The mindset shift that helped Rob finally take himself seriously
