The Other Half

In a lapse of judgement, Mike and Ethan decided watch two halves and two different versions of the same movie. Does 47 years make a difference? Can they still piece together a relatively simple plot? Do they successfully land a sponsor?

There is a great 5 minute long joke in this movie where Tim Allen refuses to buy an umbrella from a Santa while it’s raining. After being told he needs the umbrella 4 times, the patio above him breaks and dumps tons of water onto his head. Hilarious.

It’s Hanksgiving! Also this is a much better movie than Mighty Joe Young.

If I could grow up one day to be half as cool as Sean Connery in this movie, I’d die a happy man. Shame the movie isn’t as fabulous as Sean Connery’s costume.

In an episode recorded in an echo chamber, Mike and Ethan watch the classic epic that put Russian Roulette on the map. Honestly anyone who thought Russian Roulette was cool after this movie, is crazy.

I heard captains prefer their vessels to be called “ships” not “boats.” “Ship Trip” sounds pretty catchy, so why wasn’t it used? I bet the makers of this movie just wanted to offend one more group of people.

Su-Me? Su-You? Su-Son? Ethan and Mike stumble through tough names and get super lost during the final special Halloween episode. So lost, they maybe should have stopped podcasting.

How can Ernest be scared stupid? He is already stupid. The title of this movie should be called “Ernest Scared Stupider.”

A podcast full of dwarves, weird droid things and not being afraid. Phantasm is a weird cult classic about a tall and slender man who runs a funeral parlor. Why are tall and slender poeple always so scary? I am afraid of Mike everytime I see him.

Welcome to the first in The Other Half’s Halloween Spooktacular! We check out a horror/thriller that’s supossed to be one of the most underated horror movies around. Does it live up to our expectations? Also we invented a new pumpkin scale right on the spot. Hope you dig it.
