The Other Half

This movie was nominated for an Academy Award in 1986 for best original screenplay. Please keep that in mind as you listen to our podcast and realize the Oscars are a huge joke.

If this movie is any indication, love is dead.

I’ve had a few training days before in my life. I learned Microsoft Word AND Outlook during one of them. Ethan Hawke ain’t got nothing on Ethan Hawkes.

Have you wanted to watch a movie that celebrates David Bowie’s life? You want to remember Bowie in a glorious way by watching a movie the represents all of the inspiration he’s given to the world. If that describes you, don’t watch this movie. Also if you don’t want to hear Ethan hack his brains out.

If you guys want to hear an excellent Billy Madison quote, that is perfectly said and not butchered at all, you should listen to this episode. That’s maybe Adam Sandler’s best movie?

I would watch a show called the Jackie Brown Adventures.

We were all waiting for a Spanish Adam Sandler movie and here we have it. Luckily, this film isn’t completely intolerable so it has that going for it. Also the girl in this movie has a dope castle in her room she hides out in!

Movie executive: “You know what was a hit? Love Actually. We should make that movie again, but instead of having any heart, let’s just throw a bunch of people we kind of like and have heard of in a movie and forget to write a plot. Yeah, this is going to be a sure fire hit with the folks who read People magazine!”

A wrestler, who isn’t Mick Foley, wearing a Santa outfit? I have to say, this is a surprising movie that’s actually a lot of fun. I mean…what if Santa was a demon? Black magic makes more sense than elves.

Disney’s classic movie that tried to launch Jonathan Taylor Thomas’ career. It didn’t work. Do you think, Jonathan Taylor Thomas still hangs out with Tim Allen? I imagine they do they just make signature grunting sounds together.
