There is no question that Hollywood needs more diversity, but is Jada Pinkett Smith boycotting the Oscars to help all African Americans, or is it sour grapes because her husband, Will, wasn't nominated? Today's guest is reeling from a similar boycott. When Dave Christiano, producer/director of the upcoming film, Remember the Goal, posted his trailer on social media, he received a backlash of hate. People wanted to know why their were no black actors in his movie about a high school girls' cross country team. Dave, a former cross country runner and coach, himself, is passionate about presenting his sport as accurately as possible. He says, The reason why my cast of runners is all Caucasian is because 99.9% of the girls who run cross country in America are Caucasian.
