James Plaag: Finally got some good tarpon this week, got to have enough patient and fuel for those fish, fish training for the Olympics, i don't know what we're going to do, it was nasty.

 

Michael Marquez: We sent it yesterday, we went far, 88 miles one way, it was beautiful yesterday, had a 12 hour deep sea trip, busted a nice AJ on the first drop, getting broke off left and right on Barracudas, finishing up the trip with a 50lb AJ and then a 60lb Ling, crazy water spout stories, making due with what we have!

Sharky Marquez: Been crushing the red fish this past week, taking his guys out deep sea for a thank you trip this week, might have a little rain and a wind push tomorrow, what change will happen since roll over has closed, haven't been able to zone in strong on some kingfish, some weird water going on about 30 miles out.

Bill Watkins: It's was hot yesterday, bite was from 10:30-12:00, the lil jon was the bait of the day, it's a tough bait that will last through the lady fish, the mud-shell mix can pay off well for you, yesterday staying out till 1:30 and that was too long, putting in your fish order, it matters where you launch and matters where you cast, limits and why they matter!

 

Richard Tatsch: Days are starting to get shorter, later sun rise, cold front is hopefully on the way, heat is rough up in the woods if you don't have any wind, if the wind stops we've got to go, good rod bending catfish, 50 fish in an hour, life jacket requirements and regulations, big boy toys. 

 

Charlie Paradowski: Heat. People. Red Fish. That's about it. Low tides got red fish sucked out of the marsh, it's hot out there, many rods have been broken on T-tops?

Mike Jeffcoat: There's a little storm brewing out there, haven't missed a day of rain, that's a long drive off to Pecos, Texas. Some lightning out here, trailer light troubles, white shrimp jumping out of the water, sink the boat with shrimp!

 

James Plaag: Wind was blowing strong last night, no more trout fishing for a while, there are so many places you'll think are dead spots, little baby jack fish showing up, birds working on skip jack, growing up on the bay, gotta watch out these days.

 

Cliff Webb: Surf was choppy this week, went to fish Laguna Madre this week, have had some good slicks, the fish is pretty good with all things considered, purple demon lil jon smoked em, using a lure that look similar to the water clarity.

Will Kirkpatrick: The Big Sam has gotten a little smaller, we're a little bit below normal pool for this time of year, ole Homer, a lot of torpedo grass on points, 15-20 boats at each cove, spotted bass will eat a spinner bait up. 

 

Tex Bonin: Traveling up to the deer lease this morning, catching brim and catfish, catching em by the ice chest, fish moving deep makes it harder to locate, moving to a new deer stand this year!

 

Harry Detane: Looks like we'll have a nice day, already 8 boat launches so far this morning, hybrids are still working, no much wind this week, lake is nice and flat, a little hear coming off the water.

Glenn Hammond:A little slow, still plenty of traffic, a couple night fishing trips, live shrimp is scarce in the area, couldn't get away from the skip jacks, tides have been so so low, water will move in a flash, lots of croaker in the area, gotta get here halfway early or in the late afternoon.

 

Bob Green: There was a ton of bait just above 12 feet, drop shots and carolina rigs are doing well, I'll see you in October, recovery time is in process, falling out of the boat from the trolling motor, keeping your lucky phone, getting the area refurbished.

 

Tommy Alexander: Is the wind blowing this morning? Black with chartreuse tail went to work yesterday, skip jacks are stacked up everywhere, seeing more sharks in east bay, switching up playing gulps yesterday, no big trout but good solids, combination of tides and wind making it a slower bite this week.

 

Brian Barrera: Have a day off from chasing those big silver things! Been some good fishing, this is the busiest time of year, throwing some really big top waters, catching huge Mangrove Snapper, Jack Crevalle, and monster Snook.
