Jeff Naylor: Fairly eventful week, black fins are still under the shrimp boats, they are tricky, getting you bait down quickly to the tuna, tarpon getting caught off Jamaica Beach, surf water clarity in the Galveston area, catching 30 in an hour, it's super hot out there right now, one of the best eating fish you can get, nevermind just go for the kingfish, how the CCA STAR leaderboard is shaping up!

Blaine Friermood: Calm nice day, catching all the "trash fish," got into the skipjacks yesterday, every kind of boat from every walk of life, big incoming tide turned all the fish on, couldn't get the hard head to bite in the ship channel, heading down to the deer lease to get some prep work done, white wing season is almost here, waterfowl season is gonna be good, snowflake donuts are the best in the world. 

 

James Plaag: Cameron and his crew destroyed the mangrove snapper yesterday, and got a donkey sized AJ, running way out deep, lets drink boys, the brew crew is here, may pull some north west or north east winds!

Cliff Webb: Ready to ride out the storm, seems to be a lot of sunken house boats in the area, what storms will do to the grass and water, some nice gucci pliers, asking yourself why am I living here?

Will Kirkpatrick: I has been a nice week, big temperature drop, wearing a long sleve shirt, picking up an extra 30 min of topbwaters, tons of lilly pads in the coves, really good frog bite has been going on, waiting until you feel the pull to set the hook on a frog.

Tex Bonin: Already at the marina this morning, last day for a while with the storms coming in, having ole Santa Fe Jim and his crew this morning, had a slow day yesterday, getting his new deer stand prepped and ready for this year's season, feel like we're gonna get quite a bit of rain.

Harry Detane: Got a pretty morning going, lake looks like a mirror, bad weather coming, should be able to handle a storm. About 8in below pool, not much water in the river channel!

Mike Jeffcoat: Laura is coming to pay us a visit, incoming tide has been stupid high, how tarpon fishing has been down south.

James Plaag: Folks excited about these storms, cinch her up and let it ride, it ain't an easy thing to do, weather ladys never age.

Sharky: Been a good couple of nice calm days, had a king fish trip yesterday, ended up going 80 miles out and wacked some Amber Jack, everywhere is out of shrimp again, red fish is still being caught inshore, trout are still hit or miss, been one of the more difficult fishing seasons in a couple years, working really hard to find fish, two hurricanes on their way.

Cliff Webb: Putting the rods down and picking up a surfboard, some beaches have now opened up, surf was flat on Monday, fish were stacked up on the shoreline, a daybreak bite then nothing, bay fishing was smoking hot, especially wade fishing in about knee deep sand.

Glenn Hammond: Took out and old friend who wanted to test out his new boat, caught a ton of trout on down south lures this week, about 40 undersized trout including the 10 keepers, water clarity was awesome this week, flipping his lawnmower was not a fun experience, won't find any shrimp, but plenty of other live baits.

Bob Green: Last weeks nasty thunderstorms, good thing for bad weather clothes, fishing pond dams, it's got to be a pressure change, throwing crank baits until your arms fall off, a lightning shows for the ages!

Tommy Alexander: Sunburnt and wore out, watching the storm that's on its way, caught about a dozen keepers, a bunch of undersized and sand trout, been a pretty steady bite, plenty of boats no matter the weather.

Brian Barrera: Caught a variety of fish this week, lots of Dorado, Blackfin Tuna, Chicken Dolphin, and a little Tarpon and Kingfish. Water is crystal clear on the beach, and the fish don't like it too much, wind is calm, has a tarpon and trout trip this morning, what baits he prefers during seasons changing.

John Littleton: Boat is in the shop getting a little work done on it, the might pull the plug and drop it a foot or two with what could happen next week, figuring out the lake, working boat docks with jigs, black and blue or blue and black, anything with a little cartruce in it, how generators are important during weather events.

Blaine Friermood: It is flat calm, not a ripple on the bay, but it's been a windy year, happy to get away from the ship traffic, it never fails, South Texas is in good shape due to the influx of rain, the dove population is outstanding, hardest times we've had as guides, 70 is creeping up on me.

Steve Hillman: Had a really nice top water bite this week, good bites on worms too, maybe it is the arrow, a mystery run on the bay, almost everything on Lill Jon's, throwing mostly a 1/16oz, the Hot Rod will catch everything, a big enough golden croaker is better than a trout!

Bill Watkins: Feels bad charging close customers sometimes, remembering those who have passed on, rebuilding his pump shed this week, got on the best fish around 10:45, gotta put it in the strike zone, only seeing one sign that fish were there, thinking about the first bite, certain lures will only work in Sabine, got a little bit of fresh water coming out of Toledo Bend, caught only tide runners yesterday.

 

Richard Tatsch: Neck is swelling up feeling good, saw a really nice 8 point yesterday morning, getting bit by flying rats, noodling catfish, catfish are doing really well, caught a nice 20lb yesterday, bass ought to eat, just sake bit right now!

 

Charlie Paradowski: Getting ready to go fight the elements, Monday was blowing 30mph, big heavy crowds down in the surf, making an appointment for a guides license.
