James Plaag: Going off into the gulf this morning, some tarpon fishing today, yesterday was smoking, wasn't good conditions but got some pretty good fish this week, got in an emergency 18 this week, looks like one outgoing tide all day, hot to cold, fishing wells in September and October back in the day,

We're just going to make a quick trip, we had a blast and ran into a little floating bale of stuff looks a little bit questionable, if you ask me a little marijuana floating on the water, you got a big load of cocaine, pulled over and threw a bunch of those real shiny gotcha lures at that thing, got some nice Mahi and after that, it was game on like Donkey Kong, the fish were high. High winds today and another trip running deep, haven't gotten on Kingfish since the hurricane, struggle struggle struggle on Kingfish, new nicknames for the crew.

Cliff Webb: Surfing and limits of white wings, migration of mud apes is in full effect, caught a 40lb hammerhead, snapping heads off at the jetties, some wild stories from this past week, what recipies Cliff likes to use for his wild game, topwater bite is incredible in the surf.

Mike Jeffcoat: Just living the dream, had a gator hunt this week, back to fishing on Monday, a pretty weird swing of weather, cutting it in half and finding a spoon, think you'll be hunting with Tex, squirrel hunting, not too many dates in October, big lizard pictures!

 

Sharky Marquez: Smacking down on em, using some cut biat, shad, mud minnows and artificials, excited this morning, the dream team is getting ready to rock n roll, the Buc-ee's parking lot in Freeport is on fire, heading out with Nail em' Naylor.

Glenn Hammond: What the weather has been like in the area, lots of thunder but little rain, the dawn patrol hasn't had too many fishable days, taking folks out on their new boat, the loss of habitat in the area, giving folks running tracks, live bait is back in the area, mask up and have a good attitude.

 

Tommy Alexander: All still alive, had a couple days off during the week, helping out Bink get a new side by side, fishing has been pretty good, had some good rain storms lately, could be beneficial for Teal season, a strong north wind coming in, wants to see more great days in the surf like last year, the Brazos is muddy and flowing.

 

Brian Barrera: Wondering if his trip will happen this morning due to rain, catching some good juvenile tarpon on lures lately, throwing some big bad top waters, getting it done Brazilian Style, using the trolling motor to be extra sneaky when targeting tarpon, milk jug on the anchor, full week of tarpon fishing until next friday, weather window for next week looks pretty calm, hopefully October will be calm, what lures and bait Brian uses when targeting 130lb+ tarpon, what he recommends for trolling baits, nobody likes to get popped off, do fish feel pain from hooks?

Lynn Smith: Watching people roll into town, everyone from Houston is here, took the day off yesterday with all the crazies on the water, some boats on Lake Travis went to the bottom, weather has been pretty outside of a big thunderstorm on Friday, big trout turned on, big fish only 5min from the ramp, got a lot of north wind coming this week, many more days in the surf this year compared to last year, seen some really good deer on the ranch this year, still a big pretty deer, getting deer before they get into rutt!

 

Tex Bonin: Once the fronts get here we'll have more to talk about, spend one day on the lake and the next on the deer lease, doing a little rat killing, worked the rocks and bulkheads on Thursday and it was fabulous, getting some throwdown fish, a lot of tracks on the lease, ready to go get some good squirrels, will be 79 at the end of the month, love sitting around the campfire and telling stories, have another winning season, Mike Jeffcoat makes a mean gumbo, make sure to take your kids fishing and hunting, save me a throwdown fish.

Glenn Hammond: 37th Anniversary weekend, been party animals all week, 4mph NE wind this morning, some live bait and shrimp in the area yesterday, some serious fire in the sky yesterday morning, catch and release only due to the extreme pressure on the bay system, nasty mosquitos, bring plenty of bug spray!

 

Tony Gonzalez: Going through the mud to get his guides license, the longest drive to Rockport, now what, all I want to do is take people fishing, putting yourself around happy people, weather is good at Canyon Lake, bunch of little two year old bucks rubbing their antlers, will go put some cameras up at the ranch to get some new info and pictures, mud on the tires and thorns through the socks, ready to be in the box blind on a cool misty morning, love tinkering with boats!

 

Jeff Naylor: Clouds and lightning in the sky, looking to go out to the deep blue yonder, they must be out there sick, finding fish in your target depth, catching whatever is eating, feeling each other's pain in our business, a lot of boats in the water last night, the motion from the hurricane having an effect in the water temperature, colder water being pulled up from the bottom of the water column, sun and moon in the sky may not be the best, hunting season is around the corner, tuna fishing will be in full effect, sword fishing will kick off soon.

Cliff Webb: Redfish getting fixed up by Cliff after having fish bite and treble hooks in his gills, all this fresh salt water is really helping out the bays, getting the trash out of the bay, lots of stagnant water getting moved around, most of the beaches are open, the road going to Packery is now open, looking forward to October.

 

Kirk Stansel: On his way back to Hackberry, going through a long process of getting things cleaned up starting Monday, the goal is by October 1st to have the lodge up and running, teal season is out of the question, the wind damage is the worst I've ever seen, gonna be working 10-12 hours a day, how the different styles of homes faired, have not seen a boat run on the lake.

 

Will Kirkpatrick: Lake is in good shape, staying at 3 foot below pool, better fish out on the big lake, there's a lot of torpedo grass on secondary points, you will find fish off of those points, shad will move back in soon once things slow down even more, some really defined edges with the hydrilla, fish buried on the edges of the hydrilla, the alabama spotted bass, catching good fish on yum dingers.
