Bill Watkins: It's been one rocking terrible year, got a new remote controlled trolling motor, anchorman, it's part of a crappie pile now, a fall front is on the way, new fish finding shrimp. fishing normally dry land, birds working out in a cow pasture, schooling up on cow patties, larger sand trout to eat, making a meal out of a 4lb flounder, what did the weatherman say, 

 

Richard Tatsch: How did that get down there? Realizing that Conroe is a man made lake, looking at the water in the deepest ways, how deep is the water and what is the conture, water washing out fish on freshwater, hiding from the sunlight, going to target catfish and hybrids this morning.

 

Charlie Paradowski: Dodging bullets and weather systems, fishing the next few days, a lot of folks coming into town for tournaments, shrimpers filling up tanks again, nice front coming in next week, keep that water temperature down and the storms away from us,

Mike Jeffcoat: Tides got up yesterday but weren't bad early in the week, water was up starting Wednesday, tired of dodging bullets with weather, I would hate being a weatherman, nobody fishing but will be back on it tomorrow, going to squirrel hunt in the riverbottom during the weekend, my poor pecan trees, hawks jacking hummingbirds, a few acres of 7-8 pounders, all the new islands, 

 

James Plaag: Finally no water on the slab, next wednesday is a real fall front, feels kinda nice outside today, not fishing with this weeks weather, got the boat fired up again yesterday, 76 degree water temperature, remembering a good tarpon fishing day, three miles of tarpon, a squirrel stealing a Rolex out of a golf cart, 

 

Randy Deerman: Going crappie fishing this morning, caught the snot out of them 35-40 schooling bass, catching them on spoons and topwaters!

 

Kirk Stansel: On the way back to Hackberry this morning, had three days of flooding, the dumpster floated into the parking lot. a lot of high water, a Beta delay, no recreational fishing on Lake Calcasieu at the moment, there's a lot of trash on the lake, didn't see many teal on opening day.
