Mike Jeffcoat: 6th storm this year is on its way, tired of watching the storms, water temperature is back down, tying a rope to it.

James Plaag: The bite is funky funky, getting bites on the shrimp colored bass assassin sea shad, millions of gaftop, full blown nastys, split up a trip and going to the bottom.

Sharky Marquez: Redfish have been on fire lately, might use bare hooks this morning, caught big healthy slot reds, took the Castaway crew out this week, turning red fishing into snapper fishing, tried transitioning over to crab but shad has been amazing.

Glenn Hammond: Slow, slow and slower, lots and lots of fun for a two boat charter, bachelor party trout are the best, epic 9 pounders story, leaving the bay with more knowledge than when you arrived, learning the area is very important to new boaters.

 

Tony Gonzalez: Had a good but up and down week of fishing, Monday was bulled up with heavy winds, had a great scouting trip this week, trout wanting to bite something right underneath the surface, got 5 reds on one anchor drop, full limits of trout and some drum as well, what kind of reels are these, the easiest kind to cast? Don't slam the ice chest!  

 

Richard Tatsch: Currently sitting in 7th place with only 3 fish, about 5lbs out of the lead for a two day tournament on Conroe. Staying on a good pattern, just a bit of panic with crank bait fishing, talking to the fish.

 

Jeff Naylor: Wednesday was a little dicey but Thursday was gorgeous, black fin tuna were jumping in the boat, the shrimp boats have been great, sometimes getting juvenile yellow fins under the shrimp boats, did an open boat trip this week, had a great trip this week with a couple sickos, sad but true that the government regulates some of the snapper numbers.

Lynn Smith: Down at the deer lease this weekend, got some 161 and 2/8, 13 point, lost one, found one, I smelled that deer, got a good management 8 point, deer within 10 yards of him, the turkeys are just everywhere, the grass is almost waist high, deer vs protein feeders!

 

Tex Bonin: On the way to the marina, pretty tough pickings for squirrel hunting this week, seeing the woods come alive, this is a fun time of the year, heard some wood ducks this week.

 

Steve Hillman: Thought he might skull cap a squirrel yesterday on the golf course, caught some solid fish off a reef this week, 7-8 reds all about 7lbs and a nice 4 pound flounder too, you got a wire brush? Taking flounder to the car wash, one boat can change your whole day, she was a leaker and whistleblower.

Mike Jeffcoat: You couldn't have asked for a better day on Thursday, old school squirrel hunting apparel, gonna hop on I-10 in a bit, waking up an hour early for this week's hunt, got to make up for hurricane loss.

 

Jame Plaag: Reds were blowing up on the beachfront Thursday morning, mosquitoes were terrible, remembering bug spray that would kill grass, wave heights this morning, some schools are no good, cutting drifts through the wells.

 

Sharky Marquez: Thursday's flounder were a little tricky, not many fish of good size in the ship channel area, had a crazy run, caught a fish on the new Monsta Rod tickling the state record....maybe 6ft+ wingspan over 200lbs a giant stingray, welcome to the charter business, can't just sit at home itching to go out deep.

 

Cliff Webb: Off the beach and the boat is off the trailer, finding a tree frog in your wading boats, cocky another word for stupid, broken the golden rule leaving fish to find fish, all the water comming in have really cleaned up the bay system, clean and clear water.

Will Kirkpatrick: We went yesterday and it was rough, Rayburn is losing a lot of grass, wind out of the north did not help, a lot of people were out this week.

 

Harry Detane: Looks like we're heading towards a good fall, traffic on the lake has slowed down, bigger white bass have been caught lately, some good size crappie moving in.

Charlie Paradowski: The damn parking lot was full yesterday, fishing wasn't worth a flip, they wanted soft plastics on the bottom, working rat tails, plum cartruce was the best color, getting a new boat every year, hopes he can find a parking spot this morning.
